at JB, just 690 with lots of freebies..

emm.

f u an explorer type..
choose android..

if u want camera..
X6 got better camera (clearer picture ) n hardware.., can put out video to TV, got FM radio
better battery life

Mi300 dun have all those luxury.
but if u choose android road and choose this cheap hardware
u wil be much more entertained..
in customizing it.. ( only if u're explorer type)

Or else.. go for faster n better model..( and more expensive )

official till 2.1 only..for now..

well, u can 2.2 it urself..2.3 even

u can do it by ur self...there's a simple guide around here... but some rom requires diff method..

heres how to flash to superbler 4.1 ( froyo 2.2) thats been floating around here

1. Go to the market and download ROM Manager.
2. Install UniversalAndroot-1.6.2-beta5.apk to root your phone
3. Get the "RomManager" app from market
4. In "RomManager" select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery"
5. Select "Commtiva Z71" phone (compatible with Boston and clones)
6. Select "Backup Current ROM"
7. Download SuperBler v4 and Google Apps
8. reboot your phone in recovery mode (camera+low volume+power) and with the wipe option clean all phone data
9. - use "install from zip...." option from recovery to update the rom, gapps and camera.
10. - Reboot and enjoy!!

Make sure you backup all your apps and contacts and stuffs before doing this.

hmm something is wrong somewhere.

upon clicking 'backup current rom' from rom manager, it prompts you to put a name, jz tap OK
phone should reboot into recovery mode the u'll see a lot of progress texts and a status bar.
upon completion it'll reboot back.

remove your battery if stuck on csl logo and retrace your steps again

edit : performed backup n the foremention steps : took me less than 10minutes.
i highly suggest you install 'titanium backup' to check your root access status,fix problems etc.

for 2.2 try the foxconn official roms (clean & stable)

for custom rom.. i'd say superbler v4.1

firetraps jellybean sounds promising too..but yet to try em tho.
for 2.3... really2 stable rom,not yet..they're nightly builts..
but some builds are quite good if u wanna try 2.3

dont remember which build#

the rar files? roms for ROM manager is in *.*zip

else its unrars as a *.*nb0 u'll hv to install using SUT
