ovi suite ???
i'm was using pc suite for my defunct nokia 5800
but i did backup the contacts...

transfer them to droid ? can pc suite do that???
or use 3rd party program ???

PC suite can't do that, what i can though is save the contacts in a folder in your PC.
Then can copy the folder in your Droid.

i'm not very sure about this, don't own a Droid, yet.
But i did managed to back up all my contacts in that way tough.

now i need to find a phone to save my contacts to pc coz my 5800 go bye bye after drinking kopi
the phone shop said repairs costs is rm200 to replace ic...
but didnt mention warranty.

if not mistaken, if you have your contact in csv format, you can import into gmail..
from gmail, you can sync to your phone.

rooting successful it's just can't install movetosd app..and one more thing the backup rom option for rom manager not working..
anyone got any good links

which app did you use for rooting and what rom r u running now?

one problem with the phone is the camera lor
- it is fixed focus but can digital zoom
- the camera program often closes itself and goes to main menu
- pressin the camera button doesnt go into camera mode.

I'm same case like you. My Nokia 5800 dive into 1 of the hong kong restaurant toilet bowl and even i use 3 seconds to safe it out but at last it certified forever OFFLINE from the repair shop. Galaxy 5 will recommended for a user who not really aim for bigger screen since CSL Spice 3.2" and Galaxy 5 is only 2.8". But off course if you want nicer housing/casing it's should be Galaxy 5 which have a WHITE colour back casing and written "with GOOGLE" wording. For me i still preference CSL Spice which support capative MULTI TOUCH screen.

i m currently using G5.. what i can say is.. get a phone with larger screen..
reason is simple.. it's easier to type/browse net/etc on larger screen..
G5 screen is a bit too small but pricewise, it's ok for RRP RM699..
since Mi300 hv promo now at RM699 too, i advice to get this phone instead..

since it's a csl most people has very bad perception..since no one knows it's originally from india. for me for a smart phone for at this price most of the flaw tolerable..at first i was in doubt then i realize the android is at par with ios,then the feeling of owning a first droid user at my office sink in..

anyway proud to be a droid user.
