QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 10 2011, 11:56 AM) Right Bro !. I told myself to at least try out the stock rom 2.1 for at least a day to two. However after installing most of my apps - it lags terribly and the phone memory was always alerting low memory. So after 5 hours on it, just couldn't tahan anymore - I flash SuperBler 4.2 : what a difference - it was so much zippier and slick . Is like getting into a 2000 cc car after on a 1000 cc car thats sum it up..haha.. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 10 2011, 06:16 PM) I managed to get back into recovery after several resets, taking out battery etc. no need.. just proceed with the next rom I have now restore back from recovery my backup copy of the original Eclair 2.1 ( but noted the splash screen of SuperBler precede it just a second before the original CSL splash screen) Is it necessary to reflash the stock rom again ? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 10 2011, 07:32 PM) Just completed upgrading to Phantom King rev1 ( SkyFish ) . The whole process took about 13 minutes. The first bootup time was quite frighteningly long - thought it was stuck in the never ending honeycomb splash screen. when on Home screen, press menu (== ) > preference for extrass setting.. You guys have been giving such good comments on this rom, will test out fully |

QUOTE(lauyah @ Mar 12 2011, 08:45 PM) Think of getting one tomorrow, look like a good bargain. Just want to ask, this phone is comparable with which other branded phone? hi..if u can hit 1.24k budget.. i suggest go for Moto Defy® much2 better at extra 600 ringgit.. but surely wil last u almost forever.. hehe played with my fren's . its sooo sooo smooth, memory (ram also big) even my fren desire not that nice.. Added on March 12, 2011, 9:57 pm QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 12 2011, 09:32 PM) 256 MB is Memory ( about 175 MB ) and balance is System Cache . 512 MB rom is split into internal storage, example on mine ( about 170 MB available to install apps ) and system storage ( default apps built in about 160 MB). The balance is used by the phone itself. These figures will vary with the rom ya lo..If you remove builtin apps, you see the free system storage figure increased. Similarly when you install apps, the internal storage figures will reduced As the memory available to install apps is low, that is why highly recommended to upgrade to Froyo as apps can than be install or force move to SD card For such a low memory smartphone, if you do not upgrade to Froyo you are limited to number of apps you can install. It is like buying a 40 seater bus but only can seat 10 passengers only our only problem rite now is that small RAM.. when got extra background apps like Imo, and whatsup.. its feel lag already..
