dude, im using firetrap twonights / froyo 2.2....damn good rom in terms of battery consumption, charged it two nights before, used wifi for 2 hours....played some songs...and at today, 11/2/2011 ,  10.42pm.... battery is 60%... fast scrolling...just fast i tell you....even cyanogenmod 7 build 28 also not that fast.

nbo is a type of rom such as firetrap or stock rom.... dude, if this is the csl rom that we all need, you are the saviour here.

it is very helpful indeed.

havent dl it yet but should be stock csl rom,if u made the backup while still running on stock rom 

and for those who didnt know

unzip the file. copy the folder (genericly named in YYYY-MM-YY-TT.TT format in most cases) and place it inside sdcard>clockworkmod>backup

then can restore it via rom manager or recovery menu

(somewhere safe) coz when u close that SUT, it wil delete that nb0

but since u already help us upload stock CSL ROM, i think can use ur's now..

wife already saying that it's lagging a bit, especially when opening the dialer & chomp sms.

i knew i did the rite choice buying this phone rather that the LG optimus

i flashed to the cm #34, now sd card will run for few mins then failed to detect

EDIT: rebooted twice and so far no more sd card problems, hopefully will last

Need help, suddenly my WIFI problem. It's always not able to scan network and WIFI auto turn OFF after few seconds.

Using Original ROM 2.1. Any solution?

Just something to share. At 1st i though is due to hardware error but suddenly i got some clue from google searching (other brand phone issue). I've use similar concept + my app "Andriod System Info". I'm able to view what's the actual problem via the Andriod LOG section.

Here is some log finding

ERROR

unable to open connection to supplicant on "/misc2/wifi/wpa_supplicant/wlan0"
Then i tried my luck to rename the original file at "/misc2/wifi" from orginal file name "wpa_supplicant.conf"  to "wpa_supplicant.conf.bak".

Then I TURN ON again for WIFI.

A new "wpa_supplicant.conf" generated and now able to scan wireless network via my WIFI. 

Conclusion: Andriod Phone is a Developer Phone.

heres the step, which i altered abit to help in general. credits to who put em up in the 1st place
bear in mind, these steps are meant for installing ROMS that uses 'install from zip" method. not the .nb0 which uses SUT
if 2.1 (Eclair) pre-installed.

1. Go to the market and download "ROM Manager".
2. Install "UniversalAndroot" or "z4root" to root your phone
3. Get the "RomManager" app from market
4. In "RomManager" select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery"
5. Select "Commtiva Z71" phone (compatible with Boston and clones)
6. Select "Backup Current ROM"
7. Download [ROM of your choice] and [Google Apps a.k.a GAPPS thats compatible with it,if applicable]
8. reboot your phone in recovery mode (camera+low volume+power), or select "reboot into recovery" from ROM manager and with the wipe option clean all phone data (use the vol up & vol down button do navigate,trackball to confirm,END call to go back)
9. - use "install from zip...." option from recovery to update the rom. if applicable proceed to install the GAPPS,do not reboot yet
10. - Reboot and voila shiny new froyo

Make sure you backup all your apps and contacts and stuffs before doing this.

Stable 2.2 roms that i have tried & will suggest.some may have little flaws that doesnt affect the system at all,but the choice in the end really is ur preference of added apps, UI etc.

should something happen, you can always restore the backup you made earlier with ROM Manager
