Just wondering for those working in the tax department in the Big4, are you always being monitored when you are doing work in the office? As in, your manager will discreetly stand behind you and check what u r doing?

Frankly speaking, it's not a good time to join EY now as you will have just missed the cutoff line for annual performance review. Their annual progression or probation is in October every year. So if you join now, you will stay in the same rank for about 18 months before progressing/ promoting to the next rank. Other big 4s have two performance reviews per year so you don't have to wait for too long if you are good enough to be promoted

Hi guys, I'm a fresh graduate (Bachelor of Business: Accounting) with a third class degree. I am just wondering if any big four or mid tier firms will even consider me. Guess I've failed in life. But I really want to join mid tier or big four firms so badly. Guess should have work harder

Havent. Just that the feeling of disappointment got me all moody and stuff. Probably they wont even bother looking at my resume tho but like what everyone said no harm trying so gotta do what I gotta do which is to submit the resume. But then no point crying over spilt milk so can only blame myself for not working my ass off for my studies previously

That's so true . I went through all the 'silly performance' when I was new joiner. Life is like a drama. We are all the performers. Put down that ego and pride and just enjoy the show as we go along. Why so serious ?
