Just an individual preference, nothing to do with one having an advantage over the other as my friends in both say they are pretty much similar.

For me,
1) I stay nearer to EY (even though I know mostly I'm at the clients place but when I'm not, its a good thing).
2) My group of friends which I'm closer with are mostly in EY.
3) My parents opinion. I guess most of us in the audit field will always generalize kpmg, pwc, ey and deloitte as 'Big 4'. But from what I heard, the reality has its own perspective on whose higher than another, thus in this case EY is bigger than KPMG. For me no difference, just my parents prefer me in EY.
4) EY offer me more $$ biggrin.gif (But the RM10 daily EY parking compared to RM2 in KPMG would eventually make the figures similar)

Still, any advice on my situation would be great! Thanks!

If you haven't signed the employment contract or any other documents or letters relating to your employment then there shouldn't be any repercussions.

But of course they may be disappointed and only people internally in HR or senior management would know whether or not it results in a black listing for future prospects. Thus the main consideration is whether you ever want to go back to KPMG to work (guessing not!)

My personal view is that if you're a good candidate and you do want an option to work with them next time, this shouldn't tarnish your reputation as long as you communicate sincerely on why you aren't taking up the offer.

good luck

What kind of allowances or benefits should you expect to get from working in Big 4 companies?

i have no idea bout the other 3, but for deloitte, no allowances. medical rm600 per year for clinic, rm300 dental + optic, and bonus is performance based (normally 1 month on normal performance, max is 3 if you're really good in your work).

I see, btw, seems like you are working in Deloitte or know someone working there. I saw on this site a list of benefits and some salaries for several positions in Deloitte. Does it seem accurate to you? http://www.officeparrots.com/#!deloittesalary/cldm
