Call me whatever you will, but I've to take into account all the benefits to see what my actual renumeration is. You might not have been based at the client's place for more than a month so you might understand how much transportation cost is when it's neither near your office or your home. Besides, clients are charged for out of pocket expenses, it's whether the company is gonna give it to the employees or not..

All Big4 would provide you that...

Only thing is that some projects have a very small budget for OPE, so you may not be able to claim every day. This is subject to your engagement/project.

That's great. How's the parking situation at the new office? I heard that now some people park at the old building, take the new company "van" to the office, go to client office then after that back to the office at TTDI and take the "van" back to the old office again. This seems rather marfan.

Also does anyone know about these OPE claims at EY for advisory?

That is NOT close to great at all...

In EY Advisory, it also depends on project OPE budget
It is common to get full claims every single day for every individual (no car pool crap)

For projects within KL city, it's common to earn a profit (yes, not just breaking even) from claims
For projects within outskirts, it is possible to earn a net profit of 1k on claims alone, per month.

What engineering degree u got ? Btw engineering grads are highly sought after in finance or consulting industry because all engineering students are smart smile.gif

Yeap that is true...

I am an engineering grad myself...

In fact, Big 4 (especially advisory) will accept graduates from any background... Law, engineering (software, mechanical, chemical, etc), psychology, mathematics, etc...
I even had an intern from LSE doing actuarial sciences...
