Is there a difference in workload/pay/career advancement between Tax and Audit and if so, what are the differences?

Also, for one contemplating an early career change to one of the Big 4, if I were to continue with my remaining three professional papers, what would the study leave be like? Can we arrange to go back early on one day per week to attend classes?
