Hi all.

I hope any of you could help me out. I am in a dilemma as I have been offered tax in Ernst & Young, PwC and KPMG. All three are in Corporate tax. PwC is corporate tax in compliance & advisory, EY is in Corporate Tax Advisory while KPMG is mainly corporate tax compliance.

I have eliminated KPMG. So now, its left to EY and PwC.... I was an ex-intern in EY but it was in assurance. I am hoping any of you who are currently working in tax for EY and PwC could share your experience in terms of type of work assigned to fresh grads, culture, the timing of peak period and so on.

I really appreciate your replies. I need to make a decision by the end of the week. Thanks in advance.

Hi all... I got a dillemma and would appreciate all your feedback.

Recently, i rejected Firm A's offer (Audit) to enter Firm B (Tax). However, after entering Firm B, I realized that the job does not suit my nature and I am not particularly excited by the work.

I am considering calling up Firm A to ask them if they are willing to accept me again. Do u think this is a wise idea or would they not consider me since I rejected them in the first place.

I appreciate all of your feedback. Many thanks.

Hi all,

I have a few questions regarding EY GFS. I hope any of you who works at EY GFS can help me:

1.) What is the culture in GFS like? Do the seniors coach the juniors properly or just ask them to copy the steps of last year file rather than coaching them on the importance of doing such work?

2.) What is the peak period working hrs like? And also the non-peak working hrs?

3.) Can the juniors be excused to attend part-time ACCA classes on weekdays (classes usually start at 7.30pm once a week on weekdays)? or are they forced to skip classes.

I highly value your prompt replies. Thank you.
