Hi all, does anyone know who the KPMG's clients are? I heard KPMG's clients are mainly the big banks. If so, I wonder if KPMG staff gets to travel around the country to audit the banks branches? Or perhaps the KPMGs of the other states get to do so?

KPMG does have big banks and other big none banks as well. Normally, the team does get to travel and does in rope in help of the branches as well. However, one does get to travel oversea for some other jobs/assignments.

Haha, I'm facing the same dilemma. But I'm a girl.
So, what did you choose eventually?

Can someone with experiences give some advice on this?
Let's say after working either in Big4 M'sia or med firm in S'pore(as a freshie), I still wanna continue my career in S'pore(preferably big4 in S'pore),
which should I choose for starting?
*
Big 4 definitely!! Been in both. Big big difference!

My friend took ACCA after STPM and just sat for his F9 exam last December. After that, he'll complete his ACCA part 2. He actually took about 2 years (which is a bit longer than usual) to complete his ACCA part2 so he's now thinking of study the last level of ACCA while working. Everyone wants to get into big4 so I just want to ask is there any chance for my friend to get into big 4 in Kuching area with only ACCA part-qualified?

Does anyone know exactly how much Deloitte pays their fresh grad consultants? I went for an interview with them not too long ago and I was surprised when the interviewer told me that they pay their fresh grad consultants RM2300. hmm.gif Now thats even lower than what their auditors are getting.

I thought normally consultants get paid more than auditors.

PwC pays RM3,600 for fresh grad advisory so RM2,300 is way way below market rate.

yea, I know PWC and EY are paying above RM3k for fresh grad advisory. I'm wondering if the interviewer was trying to take advantage because my current pay is RM2300 grumble.gif , well actually it got revised to RM2500 this year.

KL branch? If not then that's the market price for the other states i think. Big4 in Sabah pay fresh audit associates RM1700, that's even low.

as far as i know, only PwC pay is standardized across the country. thus, try to get into PwC if you're applying at places outside KL.

Hi everyone,

Please share your opinion on which one you think is better in terms of career prospects and pay increments/bonuses: Ernst and Young advisory or CIMB management trainee?

Thanks so much!

Would like to ask, anyone here having internship for CFAB/ICAEW, or an ICAEW graduate?
How's the programme actually?
how do u think on ACCA vs ICAEW?

I have no issues with the ICAEW programme, and in my personal opinion they are a more prestigious programme compared to ACCA.

But I have a huge HUGE HUUUUGEEEE problem with the CFAB - > ICAEW interns, based on the few interns that I've come across in my life in PwC.

1. Most have HORRIBLE Microsoft excel skills.
2. Most have no idea what the hell is going on. (don't even have a decent idea how an invoice looks like ><)
3. Most don't really have any 'heart' to really learn, or to build up their knowledge of the working world.
4. Most are super young (18/19 years old) and frankly, at that age, you're just an immature kid, despite what you may think of yourself.

Whereas compared to my other interns who are.. 22/23 y/o from USM/UM/UUM or TAR etc.. those are much better adjusted and show better knack of what's going on.

SO yeah.
