Hi...

Im using Waja 05 now. i'm planning to upgrade it to either Toyota Altis 2.0 or Nissan Sylphy. the new Altis looks tempting coz of the new dual vvti engine, sylphy looks good also coz its so spacious compared to Altis. which one should i get? Compared to both which one has less problem. How about the service coz? i'm really open for opinion...

thanks

if u mean brand new then i would say that the altis is not worth the money. take a look at the sylphy, test drive it in the morning.

Eh..Nissan gives 6k discount, free leather seats (half leather actually), body kits and overtrade for your Waja, I bought a Grand Livina, btw. However, Toyota doesn't give discount for the new Altis, so better check again. Their tradeins are low as I have asked before..

back to the cars, Sylphy is a much older car with nice light alum engine and a CVVT gearbox, same as Inspira, Lancer, Altis, etc...basically run by rubber bands instead of gears...so high speed low gearing is bad for the transmission but normal driving is smooth. The Altis is all new, with newer engine and and interior that is much grander than the Sylphy. You get 'start-stop' button, HIDs, powered driver's seat, wood inserts, nice soft leather, spacious interior, much bigger than Sylphy which actually has bigger rear legroom but smaller width. The car is much faster during acceleration, u need to test drive this car and people see you clearer in a Toyota than a Nissan.. smile.gif

Basically, both cars are in the same category and you will feel a difference from a Waja to these cars...however, which car is better depends on your wallet as the Altis is in the 130k region as compared to the Sylphy which you can get for 107k (basic). Fuel consumption is about the same, dun believe the hype about the Sylphy consuming less fuel, check out the car forums and you will know. Which car is up to you not us..let us know.. icon_rolleyes.gif
