I don't think the witch in ep 1 is Sayaka, as Homura target is the Walpurgisnacht @ Walpurgis Night. It was suppose to be the night where Witch gather.

I think that is the witch that Sayaka beat in ep8.
The witch praying posture also 'fit perfectly'(pittari) in the anime.

I only watched 'The End Of Evangelion', and it was wayyy to heavy for me back then, so I didn't watch the original series.

This remind me of one of Zetsubou sensei scene, where the anime director come and try to figure out the ending for that week episode.

...and it doesn't end properly, like it used to be.

I think EP10 is safe in our hand atm, it just got a shift schedule for 3 tv station to the week after, and because of that SHAFT decided to delay for EP11.

I think its for the best, great anime shouldn't have poor quality work for the last few episode! Make it epic SHAFT!!

In other story, Pixiv ranking has been filled with Madoka Magika fan art since its air time, usually a sign of its popularity back at its homeland.

It is sad that lots of people still looking it as some typical magic girl show and refuse to gave it a chance.
