I only watched 'The End Of Evangelion', and it was wayyy to heavy for me back then, so I didn't watch the original series.

I think you will be sorely disappointed if you expect a mind fucuk ending from gen this time. Just a feeling. And i think u should stop making loose connections to previous works like Saya No Uta. This is a different show and nobody will wanna make something same and predictable as your previous works.

It's actually a horrible tentacles monster hiding inside a cute thing.

This remind me of one of Zetsubou sensei scene, where the anime director come and try to figure out the ending for that week episode.

...and it doesn't end properly, like it used to be.



There's a post a few pages back that post a screenshot of what they speculate that is the Kyubey true form...it has more tentacle than this.

Loose connection? I don't think so. The influence of Lovecraft were apparent in both Saya and Madoka, a successful formula. Though I'm not sure if he would follow the same rules for the ending, which, I quoted, 'momentarily glimpsing the horror of ultimate reality and the abyss'.
