I plan to move to my new house around CNY 2011 and looking to buy a new LED/LCD TV abt 40/42"
Is it a better time to buy now taking advantage of the xmas sale or should i buy in jan/feb?

1. will the price go up after xmas (until CNY time)? or stay flat or go down?
2. LED claimed to be more energy efficient but the chart doesnt really say so.

3. Is it worth to folk out additional rm1k for LED vs LCD? Can the $ saved for electricity be compensated back for the RM1k (say in 5-7 yrs time frame)?

Well for me...LED (actually LCDLED) is what LCD should be in the first place...its more like a step up...

Not many ppl think abt energy efficiency when taking abt huge displays but of course...its still money...and its so hard to get and so easy to part...
For me...when we 'ON' the HDTV that is more important...especially when there are other ppl around like our kids and ...err...wife...
They dun care...ON the set from day to night...even sometimes when they go for bath also never off the TV....they also can watch TV for hours until the movie program turn full circle!!

I don't care either. TV still on when i go to bathroom and go surfing on the Internet. Sometime, my TV and HiFi on at the same time

Spend some time and go to the electrical shops...

Go and view them and judge yourself.
