Campro CPE engine (1.6 litre)

Maximum output : 103 kW or approximately 138 HP at 5000 rpm

Maximum torque : 205 Nm between 2000 and 4000 rpm

mini/308 thp and 1.2/1.4tsi's max torque starts from 1.5k rpm...

for the tsi case they use a combination of supercharger + low pressure turbo, hence the max torque starting from lower rpm

I don't know about Mini, 308 is turbocharged. TSI is twin-charged. Bravo VW! Small engine capacity for economical, but output power is awesome! Best of both world.

Engine efficiency is certainly one of the most sought after issue/concern these days.

Ford = Ecoboost

VW = TSI

Proton = This one.

polo's 1.2tsi is 175Nm@1550-4100rpm... turbocharger only thumbup.gif

golf's twincharger slightly lower, 240Nm@1500-4500rpm
