If you're going to open a subforum, then it doesn't make sense to only have 1 thread for everything...

instead of merged all into one thread why don't merged into it's category thread (not sub-forum) such as : hardware, iOS, Apps, Apps - game, connection, getting an IPad, warranty, JB (if allowed ), accessories and so on ..........

Overzealous moderating & merging of threads by mods & wannabe-mods has actually been a turn-off for me, one of the reasons i've been posting less frequently in AppleByte.

There's been several instances when I typed comprehensive replies for valid-deserve-its-own-thread topics/questions, but the moment i hit add reply an error message pops up coz the thread is no longer existent.. Where did it go? Merged! In the end I couldn't be bothered to re-post my reply.

Keep it coming you guys.
I see this is a very productive way to solve this issue based on majority.

Although I do see some silent changes in applebyte already. And some obvious faces gone silent.
Hope it doesn't affect anything as we all here have good intentions and trying to improve.
Every suggestions is welcome you guys.
all those contributions made from the past and recently by everyone is greatly appreciated.
So do pitch in.

Anyway, you guys can post as many discussion threads as you like in Applebyte, iPad and iphone subforum. The more the merrier. As long everyone is happy.

No more modswannabe from now onwards. They have been told to lay off from reporting any threads. Kindly report ONLY if the post or thread breaks the LYN rules.

i don't think it will be bias my friend.
there's why i suggest a voting system so that we can see how does the majority wants the applebyte should run.
now we can clearly see how some would like applebyte should run
even though with only 50+ votes, there is still clear indication how others wants it to be.

im fine either way and i dont have anything against anyone, i greatly appreciated the seniors who did contribute quite a lot.
but this unnecessary argument and bickering,flaming and such really wasting my time la reading it and i find it quite annoying at times.
a normal discussion and debate is ok but at times it just gets out of hand.

i raised this issue bout a year back i tink. i PM-ed davidgary that time. but since the seniors were very confident of their stance, i let it go lar. looks like it boiled over this time.

neway since the issue is done n dusted, lets give the mod some space lar. we continue our lifes in applebyte like normal. dun need to stil finger point redi. doesnt seem fair to mods wen they already take action, true? we all want a happy helpful forum, dont we?

Agree and davidgary73 have voice out his support in improving apples forum.
Lets move on for a betterment of Apple forum... who knows.. Lowyat Apple forum may become international forum

I suggest someone open a thread on whether jailbreak discussion should be allowed in this forum since jailbreak is totally legal, the only problem is jailbreak discussion will lead to cracked app discussion.

One of the main purpose of forum is to stimulate discussion. But still the thread has to be organised so that everyone can easily follow.
