I doubt such feature would be available within 2 years' time for ipad.

Toshiba actually have created a LCD that could watch 3D without the need of using the glasses.

Lazy to bring the glasses around.

Just give my 2 sen here. Ipad is a good product for those don have a netbook or notebook or a smart phone.
And its very good for showing off as well at this time, but slowly everyone will have this and, nothing to show off. Do you think iphone is something cool, many still don like it.
To really compare this is like compare apple os vs android. In long term android will win, it the trend and history has proved it.
Is a tablet convenience to carry around, yup maybe but i already have a smart phone to surf when i really need it, it still a 1kg to carry and one more thing to worry on when travelling or shopping.

Indeed. Apple iphone is only 1 touchscreen phone, but Android phones is manufactured by different manufacturer and different form factors which allows different price range and target customer.

For me, i prefer to use the convertible netbook.

My opinion netbook is just too slow and laggy. Try play games u see on ipad on netbook

First its not available 2nd even its supported u will have the most laggiest experience u will ever have. Benefit it support USB

Then smartphone screen too small . So conclusion depends on your needs i dislike apple but u have to give them the credit the graphics is just amazing u can open close open close apps or games and it wont lag for the ipad

Andriod would surpass ios if google concentrate on one specific device. Because there's so many models, they spend too much time on making the os and software work on so many device with so many hardware difference.

use macbook pro sudey..hhaha..want lighter...macbook air..ohh yeahh..reliability..thats why some choose apple products..we pay for their user friendliness and its a designer's brand technology..like prada or gucci or such..quality and style.

ipad is for those who want a more portable version of the netbook. its suitable for people on the go. they can check their emails, surf the web, watch movies or even play games while on the go. u can hold the ipad while walkin or sitting down and use it easily without a table, unlike a netbook/notebook whivh requires u to sit down and place it on a table.

I was thinking of ipad b4 my long flight to my Holiday destination earlier but after testing and asking few question decided not. Reason:

1) No SD card slot & even USB port - Very important for me for fast trf of photos from my digicam or using USB card reader. I hate BT bcos it's slow esp trf >10 or 100 photos

2) Words & Excel not supported although that guy told me can DL some sync software

3) I don't play games..So it's abit useless to me

But I do like the size, portability & quick startup compare to netbook. Too bad the above tured me down

the 1st and 3rd reason is also my reason not to go for ipad. Looking forward to get my convertible netbook.

Well, what I'll say is that the iPad, and indeed tablets in general, are still a pretty niche product, at least for now.

So far, in my everyday life, I really haven't came across many, if any at all, situations where I told myself "damn, a tablet/ipad is exactly what I need right this moment".

To me, the tablet/ipad is kind of like a device that is pretty average at a lot of things, but really doesn't excel in any.

For pure productivity, it doesn't beat your desktop.

For portable productivity, like giving presentations or typing e-mails when outside of office, it doesn't beat your laptop/macbook/whatever.

For pure entertainment, it doesn't beat your console/PC/home theatre/whatever it is you have at home.

And for pure portability, it doesn't beat your smartphones which can fit inside your pocket and can be operated with 1 hand while standing/walking if you choose to.

So really, to me, the ipad or tablets in general are mostly products that you use due to the novelty factor. Sure, it has its uses and advantages, just not very compelling ones.

Wrong. Tablets have it's use in various industry. For general tablets like ipad or galaxy tablet, it's just for personal use.

I realize most reply here do not have ipad they find reason to say its not good but apple store still out of stock. If u go read at ipad thread there no one say how no good ipad is. So sometimes i wonder is ppl bias or is there another reason?

so 100 ppl condemn they sold 1000 units.

so 1000 ppl condemn they sold ( u do the maths) so i dont really see the point in doing so.
