QUOTE(trifecta @ Dec 26 2010, 12:13 PM) The Ipad for a business user on the move is really useful. Connects to MS Exchange, check your mail and appointments or read a business report. And I suppose you cannot do that with a laptop, netbook, or a smartphone. I attended a presentation recently, whereby the presentation giver used an IPad to give his presentation. Looking at the guy setting the presentation up, the first thing that came to my mind was, hey, at least with a laptop, you don't have to prop it up with an ashtray. After a while, the guy realized his futility as well, and began holding the IPad with his hand, alternating the viewing angle between my colleague and I as he gave his presentation. It was quite a funny sight. At the end of the presentation, the biggest impression that he left me was, what's wrong with using a laptop? And no, we did not end up buying his inventory. |

For the presentation, Ipad is suitable for one to one kind of presentation to big boss rather than a group of people, unless each of them is given 1. |

And yet you'd still have to prop it up with something, or hold it with your hand(s). Laying the IPad flat down on the table does not give a very good viewing angle. So no, I really don't think the IPad is ideal as a device to give presentation with. Of course, if you managed to connect it to a projector, that'd be a different story. But then, it goes back to the original question, what's wrong with using a laptop? |

Bah, fans of Apple will continue to support iPad and say it's better than laptop.
While I do admit that Steve Job has contributes a lot to the technological world, part of me claps when I saw this topic. iPad is indeed useless. But then again, being the market leader, Apple wants to lead the market right? Maybe they created iPad to further milk from their huge fanbase, or they are just trying to define a whole new market - touchscreen tablet. They do not really need to care on the practicality of iPad, the fanbase will do it for them, a new market is waiting for them to define, and Apple also successfully limited their opponents' resources by diverting their efforts into this new tablet race. |

Always remember this apple is just a brand then why cant other brand be more famous? Of course they can but they cant why? Maybe apple created something what the market wants? Even fanboys cannot be even more than other brands? It means simple they did something right thats why they are so famous.
The logic is simple if apple put notebook feature on ipad 2 or 3 there goes the notebook. |

QUOTE(T09 @ Dec 27 2010, 09:03 PM) let's be realistic. Is it even out yet? I can even say I would rather have ipad4 or galaxy tab 10. Business? Blackberry shouldn't name it a playbook for start. We've seen some good deals of prototype in action during press conference. But how it performs on daily basis is still unknown. If you brought up galaxy tab or othe win7 tablets out to compare is still reasonable. But to speculate something that is not even out in stores is still.... |
