Air stewardess killed in head-on crash

GEORGE TOWN: Air stewardess Ng Sweet Yuin’s plan to spend quality time with her grandmother was cut short by a road accident.

The Malaysia Airlines stewardess, 27, died on the spot after her Perodua MyVi was involved in a head-on collision with a Proton Satria driven by a 22-year-old youth on the Jelutong Expressway at 3.15am yesterday.

The youth, an undergraduate who was back from Australia on his semester break, broke both legs and sustained multiple injuries.

He is currently warded at Penang Hospital.

Ng’s mother Thniah Poh Choo, 52, said her daughter came back from Kuala Lumpur after learning about her grandmother’s operation which was scheduled at a private hospital yesterday.

“She came back on Tuesday. She bought her grandmother a packet of char koay teow on Wednesday night before meeting up with her friends.

“She even applied for leave today (yesterday), hoping to see her grandmother after the operation.

“I do not know how to tell the old lady about Ng’s death,” she said, when met at the Penang Hospital mortuary.

Thniah said her daughter, who had been working as a stewardess for the past two years, had planned to buy a house in Sungai Ara.

Penang police traffic enforcement/operations chief Asst Supt Ahmad Ezzely Razali said a blood sample had been taken from the male driver to determine if he had been intoxicated or high on drugs at that time.

Trying to save her d.. some of ppl there just stand there see and smoke.. sh1t one dont want help stay away la..! Because the road full of petrol and if their cigarette drop sure fire d.. and when we all standing there trying to help, a Stupid idiot white alza drive very fast and almost hit us, all of us faster hide beside! i asking them to hold the car but they didnt.. only few hold the car.. and the car still can moving even i just use my hand to test it out before i want to crawl inside.. finally i ask them to hold, and more ppl come hold like me, then 1 guy crawl from behind trying to save the girl also.. the most sad part is the guy after go inside the car, he still ask me "kalau sudah mati macam mana(with a scare face) "i replied him, mati tak mati you pun kena cuba selamat dia keluar". then about 5>mins later bomba reached and speechless when see the bomba rescueman unable to open the door(passenger side) with his tools.. then finally ppl get the girl out from her side mirror. then later ambulance reach and they check her breathing, and she already gone.. haih... damn sad..

heard of the news where a indo cross federal highway ? kena langgar till the opposite lane, and then one pajero at the opposite lane suihhh suihh wanna avoid him, end up 2 die i think

With 200% tax is for Gov to get more money. A lot of government money goes into Proton. Without
200% tax and Proton, we can achieve more in Malaysia with government spending more money
into building better road.
