Hi Ken, when u say latest version, r u referring to Swype Keyboard?
I installed the JPO Swype add-on from Doc's thread. You reckon there is a newer version out there?

Hi, I did not go up n off the keyboard. If I swype no problem.
It only happens if I choose to type while on the swype keyboard..weird

I just flashed to Doc's XXJPO v9 lately.
I noticed that while I'm surfing using 3G, the battery feels like it is getting hot very fast, especially if I'm using it while charging.
Should I be worried?
Is it normal?

since u guys chatting about the phone's battery life, wanna ask, is it that bad with normal usage i.e. surfing for a couple of minutes, calls around 30mins per day, sms-ing, taking less than 10 photos and using some apps?

Another battery report from me. I'm fully charged my phone and see how long the standby battery for one night of sleep.
At the time i write this, after 7h 6m 16s, my battery still stay at 100% brows.gif

already install 20+ apps, some widget, no wifi, 3G laugh.gif

Likewise on my phone. I guess it's normal, cause it's draining battery.

Battery life really good, you can survive for one day without worry it will switch off...

no auto sync for me, i also not switch on the 3G so i'm not using the mobile data, only using edge for the line...

if you already turn off the 3G, so it is the same. If you want to use 3G without HSDPA, try the guide, HSDPA connect to more cell tower for the better speed and at the same time decreased battery life really fast...

Before this i got at 100% about 12 hours before it drop to 99%. I don't use my phone to test the battery life.
This show our SGS battery really super with the hardware that use less power. Bad codding of apps and widget cause the battery really worse... laugh.gif
Hope my current setting can stand longer than my previous setting... nod.gif

errr .. one thing i wanna say, do u know that speedmod is a Kernel, while voodoo is a lagfix? .. how do u wan a head to head comparison while is different? its like comparing shopping mall to a restaurant ... doh.gif

battery life on docs v9.01 with speedmod k10c 256 is freaking nice,9 hours idle n did not drop even 1%

try not to test your battery drain from 100%. you should test it at around 95% coz it's not accurate at 100% wink.gif apps and widgets are REALLY the culprit like u said biggrin.gif
