If needed, you can add (my) area to the list as well.

Sunway Damansara,PJ,SEL

They do not think. Hence this fiasco happens.

just did a speedtest using streamyx and p1, both speed is nearly identical in true speed but when using speedtest, the speed is capped in half or even lower.

are they capping international bandwidth and leaving the local bandwidth alone?
*
Yep that's what they are doing this few weeks.

So their argument to "why is international bandwidth so slow" is "oh overseas line/server sedang menghadapi masalah/congestion"

Funny, I was uncapped from 3am to 12pm today. Then 12pm - 1pm, capped as usual.

When I reset my modem at 1pm, the line was uncapped.

Then throughout the day my download speed on steam decreased from 190 KB/s at about 10 KB/s per hour until it's like 80 KB/s now. Reset my modem again to check the capping and now it's the usual 50~60 KB/s cap.

175.138 or 175.144 kaput.

When I was uncapped I was on 175.144. Reset modem just now dapat 175.144.xx balik, but capped. doh.gif

So I don't think capping is done per-ip range. (Don't flame me for this)

Strange, I just downloaded the new WLM and it was blazing fast. Probably a server in Malaysia. Everything else crawls.

Yep, same here. I pinged the download source and the reply came from a server in Wilayah.

After enjoying 1 year+ of 1.6mbps, now I'm thrown back to the past 5 years of my life where I did everything with a 512k connection.

What a douche. whistling.gif

"Streamyx Service" (or the "Service") means a high speed Internet access service which provides connection to the internet with speeds ranging from 384kbps up to 4 Mbps.

what do u guys think?

They could twist and turn those words to form any meaning they want, lol.

Hmm, I'm just observing this thread from a POV of a bystander.

Whatever information is given, you may choose to believe it or not, why the need to express your anger at the people posting them? :/

On a side note, been uncapped since 3am all the way till now.

Is BolehVPN one of them? *just guessing, correct me if wrong*
*
Afaik BolehVPN's servers are not hosted in Malaysia.

This is from their website :

QUOTE
Currently our VPN servers are hosted in several locations:

  1. United States of America
  2. Canada
  3. United Kingdom
  4. Luxembourg
  5. Germany

We also have Malaysian servers for SouthEast Asian game hosting and Mumble hosting. On a case by case basis, we can also provide VPN access to our Malaysian servers.

Maybe you can, idk.
