yeap...double yeap...front desk...a hotel that does not know how to operate like a hotel. Seriously...what kind of 5 star hotel closes all...and i mean ALL their facilities at 11pm....ELEVEN PM, the GSO(yes...guest service officers) are no different than waiters serving beverage and breakfast upstairs at the breakfast buffet counter? No GSO entertaining guests, Front Office Team doing check in check out, service in FnB, Bellman, and Guest Service at the same time? Duty Manager has no power to decide on recovery service? No rooms filled up, Front Office Team kena tembak for not doing their job? Tell me....what do you think by just describing these situation in my hotel?

swt.....u dont get it.....a DM that cannot decide on things, but if things happen, DM kena tembak by management, Front Office Assistant that does everything from room service to delivery of food to guest service to bellman to concierge to house keeping to engineering. Guest Service Officers(we all know guest service officers only PR and do customer service to guests) who do waitering....yes, waitering. Don't you think that by now the jobscope is literally fcked up? Then all facilities close at 11 pm. Imagine guests who dont want to eat room service, what other suggestion we can give to guests? McD....and Im serious....we say McD.

sounds like a hotel who not enough work force so use existing workforce to patch up.. sounds like this kind of thing happens alot in KL city center hotels

True....but its not until this extreme don't you think? MO and Shang always overbook, yet other department does other department job at a very minimal. This is not even not enough staff....this is enough staff....but our job scope is to do all that. Its like....everything is in a hay wire situation and the management says its our own pasal. If we complain staff meal kena warning letter. Imagine that. Staff meal is chilli+vegetable, dried deep fried chicken with chilli, egg+chilli....and rice. It repeats every.....every dayyyy. And night shift u know what food they give? 50-70 pieces of.....mini karipap. We have 10 securities working on night shift, 2 front office staff, 2 facilities. 5 FnB staff, 2 House Keeping staff. Do u think its enough to even satiate us? If we ta pao things from outside, also kena warning letter.

They have to go buy and take themselves. Cuz management say if we pick up for guests, we're supporting outside food and not our own hotel food. Errr....what food? Room service that only has 2 types of noodles to eat, 2 types of rice to eat, 1 type of salad, 2 types of dessert....
