Thankfully GT5 is not a full sim, since too fast dropping gear can lead to gearbox problem. You can learn to use the audio cue to trigger your reaction to upshift. Once you know which RPM range the engine is in and when it needed to change gear, you don't even need to see the RPM meter. And honestly, the RPM meter in GT5 sucks since the rev light indicator is too small to be noticeable.

QUOTE(Joey Christensen @ Dec 3 2010, 03:06 PM) Help needed here. For those who uses the Logitech Driving Force GT (DFGT), do I have to switch off my DualShock 3 Wireless Controller or maybe port it in second port? Currently using Post One for the controller itself. no need to switch off. Altho you might want to change your DS3 to controller 1 during gamingSecondly, the setting for DFGT is something like a plug-and-play no installation needed for PS3? Advice needed because I'm grabbing a wheel tomorrow afternoon. Thank you in advance. |

My audi nearly reached 400KM/h but stopped at 395 due to revs. Need to tweak the gearing a bit. BRB

QUOTE(eventsphotoshoot @ Dec 6 2010, 04:44 AM) QUOTE(trunksku @ Dec 6 2010, 05:02 AM) HELL Yeah brother! I'm sure all ppl here in this thread will say yes! Just go and buy it! The best is if you got G27 along with it. Depends. I borrow the PS3 I am using since I don't see myself playing other games on the PS3 (PC is a better gaming tool IMO) so PS3 for one game is just not worth it. Also your steering wheel is an investment that I suggest you only buy if you know that you will be using it for a long time, or you are a racing game freak. I've seen people buy steering wheel just for the sake of one game, got frustrated, and sell it off for a loss. A steering wheel do give you better control, but it takes time for you to find that sweet spot, how to control the throttle, brakes, etc. If you want to game for fun, it can lead to frustration as you might wonder why you are going slower with a wheel. This post has been edited by linkinstreet: Dec 6 2010, 08:38 AM |
