QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Dec 3 2010, 09:51 AM) Thankfully GT5 is not a full sim, since too fast dropping gear can lead to gearbox problem. You can learn to use the audio cue to trigger your reaction to upshift. Once you know which RPM range the engine is in and when it needed to change gear, you don't even need to see the RPM meter. And honestly, the RPM meter in GT5 sucks since the rev light indicator is too small to be noticeable. huhuhu.... yeah... normally use the audio cue to trigger the reaction... but sometimes to focus on cornering huhuhu... need to practice more... |

One of Gran Turismo 5's more hardcore features is the game's "B-Spec" mode, which lets you manage a car race instead of driving one. Soon, part of this feature will be coming to a PC (or Mac!) near you.
Since all you're doing in B-Spec mode is issuing basic commands like "enter the pits" or "overtake that guy", and since some of the races in B-Spec mode can go forever, it's a big ask to have you sitting in front of a console the entire time instead of doing something more productive. To that end, Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has said that the ability to monitor a B-Spec race alreadty in-progress on your PS3 from a web browser will be implemented in the game "early next year", and that he's "sorry to keep you waiting". QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Dec 9 2010, 09:14 AM) More like they can't judge the first corner's braking point? Unlike AI, different people uses different lines and braking point, especially for the first corner. Do you go deep? Do you brake early? all these are in the mind of everyone, and for sure, 1 f***ed up person leads to everyone spinning especially when got chipsmore/frog cars infront |
