A-Spec Mode

Get behind the wheel and improve your skills by tackling a variety of racing events. The incredible "Cockpit View" camera lets you race from the best seat in the house, complete with fully re-created interiors and working gauges.



B-Spec Mode

Manage a stable of AI (artificial intelligence) drivers as the director and manager of a racing team. Coach them to victory and monitor their stamina. It's possible to complete a full GT Life career in both A-Spec and B-Spec modes.

Race to gain experience points and level up to unlock new special events, including training courses hosted by real professional race car drivers.



Car Dealer

Tuning Parts Shop

Pick up performance parts including tires, mufflers and more to increase your cars' performance.



Garage
Quickly organize and browse the over 1,000 cars included in the game. Pick a car, and tune and tweak to your heart's content, all from the Garage menu.

GT Auto
Hit the car wash, throw on new rims for a different look, or change the color with a new paint job for a nice change of pace. GT Auto is the place for car maintenance and exterior modifications.



Licenses

Learn and master a wide range of driving skills, from driving basics to advanced racing techniques for expert drivers.

Practice

Doing free runs on the track is a good way to practice driving techniques, learning difficult tracks, and testing and tweaking your car's performance characteristics.



Open Lobby

Anyone can join an open lobby, a custom race lounge to hang out, face new challengers, and make new friends. Since anyone can join, you never know who you'll meet. If you find someone you get along with and register each other on your Friend list, you can meet up in the private My Lounge racing lobby as well.



Photo Travel

Take your favorite car to beautiful locations around the world and take pictures with a virtual SLR camera with true-to-life camera settings. You can even walk around the environment to explore the surroundings and find the perfect vantage point from which to take pictures of your cars.



Photo Mode

After an intense race, relive the action with the race replay. Pause the replay to capture the most exciting moments and most dynamic shots of your cars.

- Recommend me a good wheel to play Gran Turismo

- Personally, i recommend Logitech FFB wheels. There are -

** Logitech Momo, confirmed working with PS2/PS3. Entry level FFB wheel by Logitech. Only offers 200 degrees rotation.
** Logitech Driving Force Pro, confirmed working with PS2/PS3. The official GT4 Prologue wheel. Offers 900 degrees rotation.
** Logitech Driving Force GT, confirmed working with PS2/PS3. The official wheel for GT5. Same function as Driving Force Pro, but this wheel has a red dial for on the fly adjustments
** Logitech G25, confirmed working with PS3. Offers 900 degrees plus clutch pedal and H gate shifter.
** Logitech G27, confirmed working with PS3. Just like G25 but has LED lights and extra buttons on the wheel.

Here's a simple guide to online MP.

**Hosting**

Everyone can host. I'm guessing Sony's server is doing the load, so what type of connection (1MB, 512KB) do not matters.
IMPORTANT - your connection must be at least NAT2

To create a lounge (session) just click on the community page and then the coffee cup icon.

There's two type of lounge - Open (everyone can join) or Custom (only friends on your list can join).

To tell your friends that you are hosting game - simply send them a message thru XMB or just post them here.

**Joining an open lobby or a custom lobby**

Its simple. Just go to community page or the open lobby button next to A-spec button. You'll be presented with a list of lobby. Just click on it, and you'll join the lobby.

**Tips***

- There's no Invitation mode to invite friends
- Use your headsets, it is easier to communicate.
- To test drive on the track, click "Drive" (second option) . When everyone is ready, the host can click "Go to Race" (First option)

same concept as sharing between 5 PS3.

Anyone on my friendlist want an EK, msg me thru PSN. I've got an extra EK

Just create a US PSN acc. Download the dlc and install it. It should appear in your game

I have r1 dlc, it still shows when i play with my r3 acc

Yes.

Nothing to do with what region your ps3 disc is. Ps3 games are region free

I'm back from vacation

@ neurra, I've taken your PDF file and post it on the first page of the ID thread. Nice work !

I've bought another copy of GT5, this time R3 - for my brother - racun him during the weekend LOL. So I got the poster wheee.

And I did an experiment. I used the R3 disc on my SG account that I used my R1 GT5 with. Guess what? The game prompts me to install again.

So the conclusion is, you cant interchange disc of different region.

Time Attack will be up soon.

This game sucks.

Please dont buy

I think if the host set the settings at max, it will deter those banzai drivers

I've updated the FAQ page, instead of listing all the cars and tracks, i just put a link there for easy reading

Are you sure? I tried it on my 308 and the game wont let me do it.

On that stage I just drive on the center of the road, just keep following the lines and dont brake, just release throttle
