hi guys.

when AV detect there is a virus in our files/program.
AV will quarantine/ remove the virus.
then program cant be run anymore.

is there a way to keep the program & virus in safe environment? rclxub.gif

Try to cure it with DrWebCureIt.. But it'll delete it if the crack is really bad.. Unless u put an exception to your AV/IS if you're sure that's harmless..

use Sandboxie to be sure if those av detected file is truly a virus or not.. sometimes those *ehem* can trigger false alarm.. but if its truly virus, it cant infected ur sytem because its running in isolated virtual enviroment which is sandboxie.. better to be safe than sorry tongue.gif

Sometime certain virus like the Sality can corrupt the .exe files.

But using the antivirus to scan the hard drive externally should be able to disinfect most of the infected .exe files.

Hi,

if you are using Kaspersky after scan, go to Tools tab-> System restore.

try run the program again.

Will you need to run the program after you kept it? If you don't, this is the best solution:

If you do, then put your program's folder as exception for guard and scanner of your antivirus.

Once a file was considered infected there is no reason to get back and use it again (only in case if it was a false-positive detection). To use the application which file was infected by viruses just search it on the Internet, download and install it again.

The main issue about this is that some of the virus like the brontoks virus that infect the documents that cannot be downloaded from the web.

In that case, just backup the document and format the PC if the user do not mind and rescan the documents to allow the AV to repair it.

By the way, TS still need the advice? hmm.gif
