Unroot Tutorialbefore i used to root my desire with unrevoked (with clockworkmod) & not flashing the custom recovery image (*AmonRA*)
partition is confusing me when i tried to change the recovery image fail > Gparted SD card Succeed but some error on it when connecting to my PC~
so i just Unroot it & use Unrevoked to Root again with custom flash image 2.0.1 amonra then now i can do partition easily on my desire at recovery mode~
change ext2 to ext3 or ext3 to ext4 in just few clicks~
everything working perfectly after i reroot it~ ><"
cheer bro~ try & try & try never give up & u will get wat u want~

P.S.: I'm a newbie too T_____T
Ur desire is on amoled or SLCD???cuz I saw some ppl said tat if flash stock RUU will cause SLCD to brick is LCD...so I dare not to unroot it...
I root wif unrevoked wif clockworkmod too..but I flashed AmonRa recovery via fastboot after downloading image from the site..
Erm~~I'm not fully sure wats the used for..but for me is to flash img by fastboot and can push n pull file while da device is on..cuz if in S-on it only can be done in recovery..ppl on the net says tat it will help to make Mtd partition, make phones internal memory large too..^^
Thank you vry much bro~=)
Added on December 14, 2010, 5:44 amMethod:
1. Get the OTA update for your region. Save it to pc as "update.zip"
2. Use an SLCD-unsupported RUU (supposing that only that version is available from your carrier). This will temporarily brick the phone.
3. Put the OTA as update.zip in the root folder of sdcard,
4. Use the key combinations for running the update.zip (without seeing anything on screen) from the Android recovery
5. The OTA restores system to an SLCD-compatible Froyo version.
This is the method tat I find on net..but does anyone know how to find download of OTA update???
