Is there a major difference in Gingerbread rom compared to Froyo?

I heard the Interface has been changed, more lag as well, though its not official for desire, so i guess the lag is normal .

all the sifu here, will need your help!!!! i accidentally format my sdcard when i want to flash to leedroid 2.3b. Hope that you guys can give me a copy of original stock rom (android 2.2 Froyo) as i lost my nandroid!!! I scare i cannot find the replacement as our desire is malaysia version which is under SIS. Please kindly share me a copy of the nandroid backup!! Please!!    

yes, still got recovery... now i already installed the leedroid 2.3b but accidentally formatted my microsd card which contains my original stock rom (froyo 2.2). can you share me a copy?? pleaaaase!!!

the WiFi Hotspot function on HTC is damn cool. Im on unlimited data and now my friends also can use the internet connection through wifi. The phone turns in a AP. Damn awesome.

Bro, I have the same problem with you and I tried to find the solutions on XDA forums but still no solutions, and there are many people having the same problems. Seems like the modded widget locker just disappeared on certain Desire handsets after reboot.

i couldnt signed apk because it said no java install..did u install java?

I'm trying to do a Nandroid backup first before flashing rom. (It was also mentioned I need to partition my SD card (Just did that - have yet to try flashing rom again, lol) [ For App2SD(with LeeDroid  )

Looks like my phone needs the newer ver of Clockwork mod. *Maybe* Haven't test won't know yet

iceman, I have not rooted my phone. Currently using Froyo 2.2 so basically some apps are installed on SD some not.
Ain't the app2d works almost similar like the Froyo 2.2 firmware which install apps on SD?

Now I got another task to do ):

I cleared my cache (trial and error from previous problem) and ALMOST ALL my App2SD via Froyo has turned gray and not installed! :'( have to re-install everything again waaaa lol

I did md5 checksum with Leedroid zip, it was good, going to try installing now, thanks for advices

yippie...yah...done root in 10 min. Almost forgot how to root since rooted my Wildfire 2 months back.

BUT....my superuser fail to give permission to Titanium Back up....why ah? Anything I miss out??

I disable the vibration when typing sms/email under settings -> keyboard. Even if its unticked it still vibrates when I press the on screen keyboard. Anyone know how to solve this. I'm oneedroid 2.3B.

the possibility to brick your phone is there, but it is really near impossible if you follow the guide thoroughly
so you don't have to worry too much

for rooting and flashing roms, no need to be scared. so if you root to install custom roms, its ok already.

The risky part is; Flashing radio, S-off, flashing custom hboot.

You should be good if you follow the steps obidently cuz if you are not, brick!

i screw up rooting many times and my phones are still ok. and btw, after s-off, you can flash radio through fastboot which is the safest. so once you s-off, every risk go away...

I dont know where people get the ideas from that 1 ROM has better battery life than another when they all use the same Kernel...

HAha when i got my desire in July, I honestly think its ugly. But each and everyday it looks cooler to me somehow hahaha, now its a darn handsome phone lol
Planning to get a new sd card. My stock 2gb card is too little for me. After reading abit it, I think I'll go for class 6 probably 8GB, though most ppl think a good branded class 2 is way enough. Gonna hit the garage sales section now. Anyone got any recommendation seller? or brand?

Dialer One. the stock AOSP dialer is a good dialer. the only thing they missed is the T-9.

i still think Android will achieve greatness even without Sense. but yeah it was all about preferences, who said you should follow what i said? i was being sarcastic up there.

I want N1 but it wasnt in my budget to buy without contract so i have to choose the maxis plan. i never know bout Sense when i bought Desire. All i know is Android, and its open! but dang it got stucked in sense, when the maxis seller turn the phone on in front of me. Lucky there are AOSP's!

Sense's dialer and widgets are handy, the interface are nice, but when you explore the inner side of it, its bloated. it can be better. i wish i could have the sense dialer on AOSP, but widgets, can be replaced by others.

I'm building my own Gingerbread rom now! based on CM7 source!
