I am in dilemma. I wanted to start my photography hobby as a beginner. Which brand of camera should i go for? I know nothing about camera. Or should i top up my budget for d3100?? Please advice.

if it is canon, can try to consider 500D (much for better than 1000d)...can try to search in http://forum.lowyat.net/DigitalSLRs&Lenses quite lot of ppl selling second-hand unit..some are quite worth.. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
if it is nikon, better top-up bit to buy D3100 (featured with 1080p full HD video recording,it is juz release few months ago).

option=1000D...500D...
since your budget is 2k...top up bit can get 500D with 18-55mm kitlens.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

agree to kytz...y u nid 18-200? get the lenses tat u actually nid is better... like if u perfer landscapes shooting or portrait shooting...
btw...D60 and D7000 ...i perfer D7000... tongue.gif tongue.gif
