QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Oct 31 2011, 09:19 PM) S100 Added on October 31, 2011, 9:21 pmWith that budget, get kit lens and if can, get D5100 or equivalent for other brands instead of the D3100 or the equivalent. Added on October 31, 2011, 9:21 pmI'll choose Oly e-pL1, it looks cooler Added on October 31, 2011, 9:24 pmProbably m43 better. thats why, if ur serious abt DSLR or being pasionate about photography go DSLR, get D5100 instead of D3100, not much different in price. Even if you're short on budget, save that lil diff for a newer and way better DSLR than a cheaper entry level D3100. OK boss. Will do some camera hunting after this. Thank you.

Sorry, but after do some googling, I can't decide between 60D and D5100 due to the lens vs bod AF. Did try to find the debate but still can't decide. Want to ask opinion from all sifu the pro and cons. (price, choices, size, image quality etc). Or if too busy to explain, just give me the link since I can't find one. Some people also state that AF lens are easily damage compare to AF body. But i'm thinking of buying D5100 including kit-lens. BTW,what does kit-lens mean? Is it a choices of more than 1 lens? Or did they give just 1 lens? Silly question. LOL

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Nov 2 2011, 05:53 PM) There's no straight answer to this question. The Nikon gang will say one thing and the Canon gang will say another. There's lots of myths and hear say as well. They are THAT close. It's just personal preference. Kit lens means that the lens that comes with the package. There are different types of kit lens like the 18-105mm Nikon or 18-135mm for Canon though the most common is the 18-55mm. Quality wise, they're usually OK good jack of all trades. I went for the entry Canon cos the grip felt better on my hands than the equivalent Nikon at the time and that my friends are using Canon. So, that's mean i will get a (one) lens right. At first, i think i will be given a set of maybe 3-4 lens . LOL... Silly me. I think I'll stick to D5100. And the lens issue, I'm not thinking of changing the lens at the nearest time. And even though the lens are expensive, I still be able to buy it since I can buy the cam. Thanks for the opinion.

QUOTE(chiahau @ Nov 2 2011, 10:50 PM) For that price, I rather go A65/A55 for video capabilities~" D5100 is good, just the lack of autofocus motor kills my mood. Nex 5n, good camera. If you like others, then why not? I'm not into video so I don't mind about it so much. However, I haven't tried the cam yet. Who knows I end up buying A65? Or other cam.
