Normally how long keep your position? how your risk and reward ratios?

I find it very similar in technical analysis in stock market, i more into SWING trader BUY at support SELL at resistance. At the moment i still try to familiar with FOREX market. i find it interesting because we could profit in two direction(LONG and SHORT) and long trading hoursĀ  flex.gif .

how you trending in FOREX, are you using moving average to ride the profit and what TF you normally use?

Sharing is caringĀ  blush.gif

@MNet
you obviously never used oanda before. Give it a try. Low spreads, no requotes, regulated. only problem? their charting sucks. I use mt4 to chart
*
Oanda spread can be big at times ... that's why there's no requote ... they have more leeway to fill the orders. ...

I notice that usually, broker that offer fixed spread will have to requote during limited liquidity ... this is to be expected...

The red flag is when .. a broker offers fixed spread + no requote ... they could be a bucket shop that falsify their quotes to begin with...

not stress trading elliot wave ?

i've seen those trading FX, CPO unkers, those more than 5years of experience, all their hair turn grey due to the stress and lotsa thinking.

my white hair also coming out d, therefore i just want to stick with what i can see and KISS (keep it stupid and simple)

in the end, they tell you to go trend trading coz all the analysis and question marks(i always see questions marks on elliot wave charts coz they need to label the waves) will wear you down.
*
or you can use correllation and strength analysis ... biggrin.gif .. buys strong currency (not pair) .. sell weak ones ..

QUOTE(AllnGap @ Dec 11 2010, 08:15 AM)
does it look something like this ?
i've checked the flyingspaghettimonster forum claiming it can do 1000pips per week, actually, it doesnt work that simple if you trade so many pairs

if you wanna trade 5pairs cross pair with EU, why not just shot/EU with bigger lot size ?
just trade on 1 cross pair will be enough, why bother to monitor 5pairs at 1 time ?

even if this works, you know that each pair has got its own characteristics such as volatility and pip range, in the long run, i'm not sure whether it will be profitable.

the thing with forex is it is constantly changing, the more complex it is, the easier it will fail
*
You dont have to trade exactly like how they described it in the forum ... just take the currency meter .. understand it and use it to your liking ...

After all ... every trader have their own style .. biggrin.gif

Guys, i think there is a serious reading that i like to share with u all regarding what we are doing right nw, it might change our course of thinking on forex int he near future..

There is a news reporting that IMF might implement a world currecy IF the US Dollar devalued to its deepest extent.

http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archive...-world-to-adopt

I dunno about it, do you think its worth to consider is possibility? If so or not, lets discuss it..
*
If this Bancor is implemented ... I presume, currency trading pairs will become GBP/Bancor .. JPY/Bancor .. etc. biggrin.gif
Technical trading will still be the same ... but fundamental data interpretation will need to be revised.

To me, the problem with Bancor is, it's still an instrument without intrinsic value. Just like our currencies nowadays. It's still not as good as gold.

For the whole world to use only 1 currency ... that is impossible. To quote :

The truth is that a global currency (whether it be called the "Bancor" or given a different name entirely) would be a major blow to national sovereignty and would represent a major move towards global government.

It's a violation of national sovereignty. sweat.gif

If it breaks 5590 ... ... its going to yesterday high ...
If it breaks 5562 ... its going to S1 most likely ...

We are witnessing quite a series of violent ups and downs ... but this is opportunity ...usually this kindof volatility is the harbinger of a good breakout/down ...

Lets wait for the $$$ ... for now ... I'll just wait till NY session ... a high impact news is coming (915 pm) ... before that .. price will be ranging between 5562-5590.

I could be wrong ... tongue.gif
