No probs.
Will it affect USD price?
Depends from which way u look at it.

Fundamental view: Yes
News trading: Yes
Technical trading: No - movements will be reflected in the charts
EMT: No - already priced in

I m into pure technicals, so I usually shut off all news. That said, its only my personal preference.

has anyone heard or tried Union Pacific before?
http://www.unionpacific-nz.com/

my friend has made rm10k from a year deposited starting with rm10k. there're branches in msia. thing is, my dad told me its too good to be true, cause he said the best fund managers in the world will never hit such high % ROI.

for discussion purpose =)

A quick glance on the site, it looked like an ordinary broker as opposed to a fund management company.
If the above statement is correct, then perhaps your friend is merely trading his own account. Then to make 100% gain on a capital of RM10K is possible. This is due to the capital sum is rather small and fx works on leverage.
If fund management, then your dad is correct, with large capital base, best fund managers do not have returns of 100% pa. This is due to the more prudent approach with money management by the fund managers.

Forex fund management is still illegal in Malaysia, and the website doesn't looks professional for me. It is always better you learn through hard work and grap a life time skill for yourself smile.gif

100% ROI is achievable in forex market, your dad is right and due to global fund managers managed million to billion of capital, their risk management is definitely small and thus the ROI is smaller.

The big fund managers are not able to make that kind of high return ... because their leverage are capped up to 1:20 - 1:100 max ..
Small traders like us can get up to 1:500 ...

This is normal phenomenon ... it's a lot harder to grow big money compared to small money ...

yeah, but what my friend told me was he left it to the agent to perform the trading. that is why i smell something fishy... if the returns were that high, all the banks would've closed down by now (FD returns not lucrative)

likely i'll learn my own way of earning money too =)
thanks for the advice, cheers

I have seen people doubling account in 1-2 month (systematically) ... but that's only possbile for an account sized below USD 100K ...

Jack,

I ve seen returns of 200% pm constantly too.
But then, what fund size are we talking about?
What is "big" fund and what is not considered "big"

Big hedge funds to me, is in the region of billions USD.
That, my friend, I ve not seen returns of such magnitude.
Do enlighten if you have seen such.
