Hi peeps...im gona buy a new tv for playing ps3..so i need some expert opinions here

Budget RM2k ..around dere lah

so im only interested in picture quality and not so much on the features

pls drop some opinions on whether to get a plasma or hdtv/led

i prefer something in 42 inch

existing ps3 owners are welcome 2 comment as well. pls give genuine comments as i need to get the best

i got pana plasma 46" p46x20k model
not bad, rm26xx only at senheng

altho not full hd resolution

u can find a lot of rm2k-2.5k 40" full hd nowaday just go to shop and see which suit u.

I only can afford Sharp 40 inch. It is about Rm2+++

goto Senq, got samsung plasma 42" at RM1899. Wun regret, I bought one, some more got digitv processor for future use, 3HDMi out, near Full HD, cos plasma can upgrade pix if you have full HD DVD player with HDMi out. Oh, also have free 3 years warranty, I bought extra 3yrs for peace of mind!...plasma is best for action movies, games etc. Samsung has 1 unique feature that all plasmas dun have...u need to ask salesman for that...ha!ha!

If want full HD LCD, Jusco in Mid valley is selling a Toshiba 40" for RM1999. I bought a very cheap HDMi DVD home thearte set from them.

Offer is until end of year for both brands.

u can softmod 720P panel into 1080P panel?

led too expansive bro T__T.....lcd the refresh rate too low lah :S for fast paced got ghosting :S

when installing MGS4, there was shown a message:

"it is not recommended to use plasma tv to play your PS3!"

wow really? well that is for older model cause of the burn in..but newer models rarely have burn in...plus i dun play dat long

newer model of plasma has pixel shifting technology ,

i have 3 in mind actually panny p42x28k samsung 4 series da 42 inch and lg 42pj350...cant compare in shops as all the plasma's are in diff places :S....so i need sifu's opinion

as long u dont play strategy game, plasma are fine choice
make sure your room not brightly lit, dont forget panasonic can add extra 3years warranty for rm200

the reason i dont like lcd, because of eye-strain backlit

buy the lcd with tru-motion or >60Hz

lcd are recommended for low size screen (e.g 32 or below)..
or if your room are too brightly lit or you want great power consumption

man i already see ps3 running p42s10k, the image are jaw dropping, better than any lcd i ever see in motion,never see >rm15000 lcd plasma running game before

just curious as to where to actually find or get this "Full HD DVD player"

I have an old 32" Panasonic LCD TV and never encountered any ghosting before while playing PS3 games on it
If I'm not mistaken, anything above 60hz isn't noticeable unless you wanna play 3D Blu Rays and 100hz (at least) LCDs are common now as well as affordable. I bought a Panny 32" LCD for RM1.2k early this year but the choice is yours. For me, I don't really see any big significance between LCD and Plasma except for a few things. Get one that fits your budget.

Love my Panasonic 42" Plasma. Sometimes I do play computer FPS games (HDMI) using this with home theater system

i believe the word u are looking for is upscale... If DVD can be processed to full HD, no point buying bluray edi..lulz

btw TS, Panasonic P42S10k if u still can find, back in last year/early this year the model was damn popular cos it's cheap and the picture quality is better compared to those in the same range. and, trust ur eyes, see which one u prefer the most. LCD TV wont have ghosting issue as well, or it rarely happen and unnoticeable, so normally it wont cause much issue

buy 200HZ> from Sony, installment bro... Just go for it!
