Why not.... since you have the username and password in hand.. Once the installation is done the rest are PnP.

Anyone have any ideas why my unifi connection is damn unstable? Connection keeps dropping, ALOT of rto when pinging both their DNS server.

Sometimes I need to restart both my router and VSDL modem when the RTO is 100%, after a while I can surf some websites. But once the connection is idle, it goes back to RTO 100%. Can't believe I'm paying 150 per month for this kinda internet.

Should I call them and ask? Would it helpful? I'm located in sunway btw.

Thanks.

Wonder how many of you guys are with TM DNS servers...? I know Goggles DNS is not too bad but I prefer NortonDNS which is pretty good and it works it UniFi too.

Hi all, need help please. This evening, I rebooted my modem because I felt it was slow. Since the reboot, I've not been able to connect to the Internet. Called Unifi, no help but to open a case.

I'm using Tm's modem router, funny enough in the router config page (192.168.0.1), the Ip address shows 192.168.xxx.xxx regardless how many times I reboot the modem. Plus, I get no Dns address.

Anyone who can advise, greatly appreciate it. Thanx in advance notworthy.gif

What happened? I specifically requested mine to be tested and software updated before shipping from ItsBit Pte Ltd.

TM's DNS servers is set to drop all ping packets, so your test isn't valid. Test with google.com better which should end up at the Cyberjaya mirror. You are using wired or wireless to your router?

Did you try holding on to the reset button while powering up. Mind that it is not easy to pin down the reset button. And do you witness all those port lit up during reset/power up?

Dear gang, wanna ask about setting unifi to a preferred IP address, actually i'm running a restaurant & our POS system is using network printer which has its own IP address.

Any sifu here can guide me how to connect to the internet by using the same PC...

Try holding on to the reset button for at least 10 seconds during power cycle. This will reset the unit to factory default and try to connect to WinBox after that.

Thought you might have tested, just wonder have you tried on another cable?
If all methods tried and still fail, then it's likely a lemon .....

I'm using wireless. I decided to call them when my IPTV kept hanging because of connection problem. Today the connection seems better, less packets dropping. Not sure whether they fixed anything, or it's just a random thing. I must say their helpdesk is not that bad, they actually called me back and told me they're looking into this matter.
