Will TM throttle the speed after 60GB of usage for VIP5? or do we need to pay extra after the 60GB usage?

Will we get throttled after 60GB of usage per month for VIP5 or we need to pay extra charges?

QUOTE(yakumo @ Feb 9 2011, 07:21 PM) erm question any VIP5 user having problem streaming 1080 p youtube videos? of course la.mine always buffering when i try streaming test 1080 p videos on youtube http://www.bwmonitor.com/ download this software, see what's your speed while you're streaming 1080p vids, if it's at your max speed and the video is still buffering, then VIP5 isn't enough for smooth 1080p viewing. |

Damn router seems to have broken today, the TM supplied DIR-615 , just power light on and nothing else - works for a few minutes then stops !!
Replaced it with a WR841ND , not tested IPTV if that works yet - but internet is fine. Not spoken to TM yet, needed to get it fixed urgently as I have some work to do from home ! |

Oh and hey guys, about the question I asked earlier, about what's the difference between TM's modified DIR-615 and the original D-Link DIR-615, so now I know the difference, but I don't quite understand it, does that mean that TM's modified one is better or..? |

QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Feb 9 2011, 07:44 PM) erm, mind telling me how many years is the warranty for DIR-615? I guess the warranty should be at least 1 year or however long you use the service but I'm not 100% sure - I needed the connection that's why I bought another router straight away as I knew TM wasn't exactly going to replace it the same day Oh and hey guys, about the question I asked earlier, about what's the difference between TM's modified DIR-615 and the original D-Link DIR-615, so now I know the difference, but I don't quite understand it, does that mean that TM's modified one is better or..? |

just asked TM contractor that came to my house, the earliest cap would be May depending on the customer...if complaints and problem still could not be solved by that time then the cap wont imposed that early...
not 100% accurate as he got info from their boss~ |

QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Feb 9 2011, 05:41 PM) question, can my Aztech Router WL830RT4 replace the DIR-615? Got this router for about... 5 months already, works like a charm for me now (using Streamyx 1MBPS, my unifi's coming this Friday, 2 days from now) Actually since you don't use much, ie normally < 15 hours per day, I think the D-Link DIR-615 might be able to function well without trouble. Give it a try first. Now, I'm not the kind of person who turns on his routers and everything for more than a week, usually only around 48 hours max. (mostly less than 15 hours at a time) OH, one more thing, the DIR-615 by TM, is it any different than the original DIR-615? I hope TM didn't change its settings or anything...? 'cuz it isn't a too bad of a router according to the sites i saw on Google. |

I read and read the posts here and i dont understand why there is the need to use additional router/switch.
The Dlink router comes with 4 ports. One is used for IPTV. There are still three ports available with wifi. Why is the need for homeplug? |
