Erm, he asked if Orochi is used with cable only and without battery.

The answer should be yes. I also usually use Orochi rather than Mamba due to portability issues.
*
that mean once orochi connect to cable we can remove the batt isit?
btw, why said Orochi rather than Mamba due to portability issues?
and orochi performance is below then Imperator?

Since MS X6 is quite a good membrane keyboard and giving a tactile feedback, so their touch feedback is not really very noticeable.
How you means by the keys are weird? X6 is built with the butterfly layout, so some different position of the keys maybe.
Some more the slippery key caps of X6 shouldn't provide better typing experience compare to the BW ulti.
After some time you get used to BW ultimate, you should fall in love with it. Otherwise, I will say you don't like MX blue.

Lot people buy the keyboard just to listen the sound, but if say you are student sharing a room with roommate, then it really sucks. Your house mate no need to sleep whenever you use the keyboard.

First, don't think Razer won't make the bundle of mousepad and mouse compulsory.
Secondly, even though yes, just find some body who want buy the mouse to share with you, maybe can buy at a cheaper price.

I think he need the portability of Orochi, but maybe consider for other mouse? Roccat Pyra?

Mamba so such a big stand, i rather use it at home.
If you only buy the gaming mouse and keep bringing it around, Orochi is better choice than Mamba.

I also never touch roccat but maybe will get Apuri since other brand don't have such good bungee.

Does Orochi got any problems so far?
can it used for more then 2 years?
will it last?

Whether it will last or not also depends on how you use it and also a bit of luck. If the Orochi you bought is problem free, then you are in luck plus if you take good care of it and perhaps if you sweat less than others during gaming then that should prolong its lifespan too. smile.gif

Noted!

Mine? So far, few drops and it's 100% functional. No such issues with it at all.
So yea. It passed its 1 year birthday liao biggrin.gif

Orochi can be used without battery when the cable is plugged in. I usually do that.

Regarding another issue about Imperator vs Orochi, Its easier for me as I can switch 2 wireless when needed and wired when I wanna pawn people. Imperator can't do that, can't it? Mamba on the other hand, require the peddle-stone to go wireless. A bit annoying since I'm travelling with a laptop, DSLR n etc.

Wow! Grats and noted on point.

That's the 2 main cons, other than that the mouse is fine. If you're a hardcore gamer planning to play on wireless all day long then I'm sorry, the battery will go flat within 2 hours or so smile.gif
If you don't compare then obviously you think your Mamba works fine smile.gif Now I've owned plenty of mouse and I hope I don't have to list all of them down and comparing Sidewinder X8 and Mamba, the battery life and software for Mamba sucks totally. If you think your Mamba's drivers/application is running without lag, wait till you try the Sidewinder X8's application. My friend and I have since sold this Mamba off and mind you, we bought it RM440 when it was launched about a month.

I agree boss smile.gif That's why I find it weird how come someone can say the Mamba software is NOT LAGGY. Maybe he has not used any other gaming mouse before ever in his life and Mamba is his first. I've had quite a number of Razer products and no doubt they have good design but quality is very very filmsy and bad. My advice is, DON'T buy the Mamba.

Seriously Mamba is overprice. rm400 for a mouse is too much unless you are damn pro playing in PFS.
I better use the rm400 on other to improve my playing skill...
So, I think I have make up my mind I going for Orochi then...
Btw, isit alot diff between 2000dpi while wireless while 4000dpi on cable?
anyone can help me on this?

It's alright to say your own opinion but it is WRONG when you label other people's opinion as baseless like what you've mentioned earlier. If you expect yourself to give opinions then please respect other's too smile.gif The other problem is fan-boyism. It's very common among typical Malaysians especially lowyat.net members whereby if they own something expensive, they praise the product like some God made product.
I'm not saying the mouse breaks down but it's the build quality of it. Of course it's usable but if it's filmsy and fragile (if you get what I mean). The battery life of Mamba is indeed disappointing if you compare against other wireless gaming mouse.
It is indeed overpriced smile.gif I agree with you on that but myself being a gadget freak, I just buying whatever to try things out. After that I can well conclude that Mamba isn't worth the money at all. My friend owns the Mamba and we bought together. If you ask him how's the Mamba, he will say throw it into the bin. I have another rich water cooling customer which owns the Mamba, he too insists that the mouse is crap. Sometimes when you boot up your PC, it doesn't detect the Mamba (when it's wireless). However if you ask a fanboy, he of course will praise the Mamba as some Godlike mouse.
*
Wow... It seems like Mamba is rubbish... Or may be it just diff ppl point of view...
Well I don't think Razer cr8 a rubbish mouse right?
what do you think clawhammer?
Orochi is wireless and only have 2000dpi then will it auto change to 4000 when I insert the cable?
and can u suitable with the weight with batt and sometime without batt?

Did you flash the firmware and re-install the driver? How about using it with the wire; do you have the same problem? Mamba is a screwed up mouse, never ending problems and terrible battery life smile.gif I got rid of mine just a month of ownership, totally gave up.

Did the Razer Orochi got a lot of problems?
