As per the title,

Is changing realmlist of wow client against TOS?

Is it against Blizzard TOS?

E.g. Playing wowtaiwan using US client by changing the realmlist.wtf details.

Someone brought this question up to me.

Is this gonna get deleted too?

Blizzard has not explicitly said it's illegal, since the client can be downloaded for free anyway.

from the forum thread, you can tell that it works and what not. but since it is clearly stated by blue that its against the TOS, do so at your risk then.

my honest opinion? i DOUBT they would check your realmlist files lol. and so long you dont use the multi realm/region to do anything illegal (like botting or transferring gold etc) i think you'll be fine

if bliz have a prob with it just say you play us,eu, and taiwan servers and if they want to ban you they should refund all your money and time spent otherwise gtfo

Before you aggro the boss... do a backup first...

you may read the rules for LYN gaming section/WoW section on that. private servers = no discussion.

your intention may be good, but the method may not be. There are MANY ways to grow a community, you dont have to specifically encourage/discuss about private servers.

for starters: you can perhaps write up guides, how to start up the game, what to do when you first get on, class guides, what class to pick etc etc.

People normally change server list to switch between US and EU.

you can try to argue with mods/admins on the bolded. though quite honestly, why bother? private servers are wrong, and there is nothing you can dispute to change that fact, regardless if it brings profit to blizzard by introducing the game to people who are cheapskate. (10 day trials anyone? if you are too cheap for something free, i rest my case)

should b no prob coz v r modifying client sides.
if blizzard wanna banned us frm using english or chinese client, might as well banned all AddOns also. bcoz all modifications is on oursides n wont effect on their servers.

But since now you can get highest end pvp gear from Battlegrounds, mages are now pretty strong. But still mediocre in arenas.

eh i thought you'd STILL need arenas. where BG you get a tier below arena ones.

So for Cata, rated BGs are supposed to give you top tier loot like Arena?

If I'm not mistaken, you can get highest end pvp stuffs without ratings nor arenas. And with a very high rating you can get weaponsa tier above. Armors all same but you'll have the option of making it look prettier (I'm guessing the shoulders lol) but same stats.

bg will give pvp tittles at 2400 rating you get high warlord.

I've seen your posts/threads around, and with all due respect, and this is merely an opinion, you seem to be obsessed with the WoW TW servers (not that its wrong of course, everyone obsesses over something, to various degrees) but the issue is you also seem to be forcing your opinion onto others concerning the TW servers. There's a difference between being passionate about something, and aiming to spread some awareness (which we all can accept), but in some instances you appear to be rather aggressive and stubborn. As I mentioned in one of the previous post, I'm not trying to argue around which server the best. I believe each server have its own merits. Its all depends to what the player want, their background, and their preference, friends play a part too. Wowtaiwan and china is different, wowtaiwan is 100% like US. China unfortunately suffer from censorship.
