I'm planning to buy a new console. But stuck in choosing best console for adult and kids to play.

I think that Wii has more games that suitable for kids than PS3.

So, does PS3 also has games for kids play? or only Move games better for kids?

I want buy PS3 coz of GT5. But seems I'm not the only one playing (got small sister and brother, and few anak buah will play too), I have to consider any games that suitable for them too.

Hope someone can give review or suggestion.

depends on how deep is your pocket & how old is the kids

If pocket is deep enuf, go for the PS3 + Move package then, damage might be around RM1.8k++ with 2 move controllers & a game.
But prepare for 2K to be safe
PS3 games for kids also are limited

If budget concise, Wii wins hands down. Basic Wii package + 1 extra Wiimote won't cost you more than 1k. Game library for kids also wins hands down.
Extra wiimote also cheaper than move, kids spoilt your controller also won't sakit hati that much

And last option, which I'm sure many will tell you to do is...
Buy both
PS3 for you to play GT5 & adult oriented games
Wii for the kiddos
Problem solved

Just like my plan... However, I think I will less using one of them if buy both since I'm more to computer gaming.
In planning to buy the Move package, but only a few games for Kids at the moment.

Really a waste if I buy the package and not fully utilize it

I'm facing the same dilemma either ps3 or wii... great selection of games for ps3 but still want to play mario bros and the latest donkey kong I think I go for both...hehe

Go for which you one you can afford first. And no, piracy is not an option yeah?

Is there any difference between Wii Motion, PS3 Move and Xbox Kinect style?

From what I see, Move and Kinect use the idea from Wii Motion, am I right?

In terms of reliability and excitement, which one better?

If you want games that have been around for a long time, the Wii. Considering the Move and Kinect are still in its infancy stage, you may want to hold your horses before getting them. or either of them.

PS3 tbh. There are definitely games out there for kids.
Just because the Wiimote is more "family friendly" than the PS3 controller doesn't mean that you'll necessarily have more fun.
Imo unless they're asking for the Wii, I'd suggest go get your PS3, then you can get Little Big Planet and Ratchet and Clank while you get Gran Turismo 5.

There will always be kids games on any console you get, don't worry.

But there's a clear winner on quality and quantity for family orientated games. Of course if GT is the game you can't live without then go for PS3

Kinect rocks. No dildos. No worry about controller dead batteries. It's a total technology shift. Nothing like Wii or Move.

I can't get enough of my Kinect Sports...and my wife loves the Dance Central game (no dildo, true dancing, with arms, legs and even head bumping!) and my 5 yrs old son loves all the jumping and running games.

And why buy XBOX for Halo? Halo is overated junk. There are so many better games.

Actually, I choose PS3 not because of GT5 only. There are many PS3 games that I want to try too. And I like the PS3 graphic compare to Wii or Xbox360.

Yes, I agree that Wii more "family friendly". But somehow I hope that Move will come out with more family games.

Okay men, PS3 is the better choice simply because, triple A titles are released regularly....Wii is great mostly for Nintendo games only.....the rest are crappy titles, but the PS3 is a notable investment.....

This one is just game analyst speculation, they will announce wii successor in Tokyo Game Show Sept 2011. And will likely start selling on Apr 2012.. lama lagi tu... To think about it, after Xbox and PS3 release their kinect and move respectively, Wii sudah RIP...

bad choice..hardcore gamers go for the wii..becoz its hardcore, not like those 2 6.5/10 so called "gaming" machines.

hardcore gamer play all consoles, even they have to lepak their friends house to play and complete the game.

While Wii are more standout kid game, their adult game are mostly terrible.

One distint advantage of PS3 compare to other consoles are the offering of game genre are a lot of more "balanced", Wii got more kid-game, xbox 360 games are more adult and shootery while PS3 really have a lot of everything.

There's a lot of kid games on PS3 that do not use the MOVE, like

Ratchet and Clank series, 2 disc game and 1 downloadable game so far
The latest Sly Collection, 3 games in 1 disc
Modnation racers
Little big planet
3d dot game heroes
Toy Story 3
FAIRY TALE FIGHTS
Singstar, if you are feeling dramatic
and a large libraries of PSone games available for download, back in the era where "kid game" are dominant in the consoles.

dont buy kinect cuz its need alot of space to play.For me wii.I dont lose hope for nintendo game.They rock.

Currently, Moves games not very fun and enjoy to play (My little brother and sister fast boring . They play GT5 instead ) Still waiting for coming games. Hope more attractive

You should Grab Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition for Move(if you don't mind a bit bloody). Can 2 player local co-op. You will need the navigation controller though.

Edit: I found that more PSN downloadable games support local multiplayer. Castle Crashers, Lara Croft, Shank.
