We followed our friend's car from JB to KL then back again.

Funniest part, the GPS led us through Malaysia customs then U-turn at the Causeway as it thinks that is the fastest way to get to City Square. Damn embarrassing.

GPS is for your reference... Do not follow blindly. I believe you won't be able to do a u turn there isn't?

perhaps them do not have friends that would want to do this together. Why don't you invite them to join you?

Nop, will be working at HP. smile.gif
Yes, the norm is S$60k for most banks. But I do recall there was a bank that require foreigner income to be around S$40 or 45k only... but could not recall which bank for now. I'll check all available banks in SG and browse thru their cards section to find a suitable card for me...

for my case, my only chances are getting ACMT (Apple Certified Macintosh Technician). is that consider a professional cert?
*
i guess that consider as a professional cert as well. Seriously no one can tell whether they gonna grant you EP status if you have certain level skill or cert. I have friends with degree but still getting s pass. looks like they're granting the status base on a set of criteria and not single qualification.

Hi all, I'm struggling whether to apply PR or not.

I'm working in MNC now & I'm very happy with the pay and benefits. But I'm thinking that I'll go leave SG and go back to KL after 2 yrs time.

Should I apply for PR? I have no saving plan seriously, after working in SG for a year, I only managed to save a little bit (really a little bit). Pls gimme some 2 cents!! TIA! smile.gif smile.gif
*
First, why are you struggle even before you start to do something? It's not like they already had offer you the option. smile.gif
Feed back from the forumer is that applying for PR since middle of year 2009 had become so much harder, not many people applied sucessfully.

2nd, if you've no saving plan, start to have one. Applying PR have nothinig to do with your saving plan. Although it force you to contribute certain % of your salary and company contributed varies % over the year as saving, you will not see lots of increment in your savings in 2 years time.

Status of PR might give you some advantage in certain scenario but in term of savings, please start to plan your own savigns plan.

zzz.. guys, got news... bonus that came out was pretty good... but increment is so sad... haih

neway, is it advisable to leave job before 2 years is up? thinking of job hopping...

If you can stay then stay, if you can run just run lor. You should be more familiar with this after a while. Nothing is perfect.. stay or run is just a decision, doesn't affect much if you always have a plan B.
