But then even though you save like almost 1 month salary for malaysia job. Yet you spend most of your days in Singapore and not in Malaysia. As if you are always go back JB and do shopping >.<. Unless you are planning to go back Malaysia to enjoy your life after few years of living in Singapore. brows.gif

Yes, you do save alot of money if playing currency conversion, yet you are still in Singapore, live in Singapore, and work in Singapore. Just like if I work in Australia. I will say my saving is almost 3 months of your salary in Malaysia. But then, you still live in Australia. You spend most of your things in Aus. Of course, I will be having good times in spending clothes during CNY though. But you cant bring so much thing back to Aus cause most probably they will charge you during airport. >.<

Easiest question is.... Have you guys plan to settle in Singapore rather than staying and work in Malaysia from now on? Or generally feel like going back Malaysia after years of working?

harlo.. need 2 ask for opinion, recently i complained i had to go to work on weekends and i am facing difficulty getting cab, so my boss says he will get me a new 325i but i have to forfeit my this year's bonus (5 figures) so i was thinking is this worth it? i can have the car for 10 years if i am still in the company, but on and off he will surely ask me to fetch ppl. maintenance by company ins, erp and fuel self. btw, company is very chinaman, i am sure i will be made to work hard for it. i dont have sg license yet and i have been here more than a year.

Car is like your wife... You will need to keep feeding it using money... I know it is easier for you to work... But spending those money seems like not a good budget. Thats life in Singapore, MRT... walking.... taking cab.... Unless you can try ride bicycle if short distance.

Giving up 5 digit just for car.... I would rather buy a small car using that 5 digit number. >.< Just 5 years of bonus you can pay all already.

What about New Zealand for a long term prospect?

I kinda fall in love with the country.

New Zealand.... from the adverstisement. It looks like a great country... In fact, the place looks dead. Not much people there.. No life there i can say, unless you are animal lovers tongue.gif. And racist hatred is almost same as Australia tongue.gif

WHy is that?
EVerything in SG is better than Msia in my view.
The necessary things like food is not that much difference with Msia.
And in SG you'll earn more than twice as much as you would in Msia.

The only downside that I know of is the rental rates.
The rates are way higher than in Australia(Brisbane).
For sg8k that we paid for a semi-d in Eastcoast, we could get a bungalow with swimming pool in an upscale area in Brisbane.
Even the HDB room rates are high. sigh.

Ive been to Queenstown in NZ, not SG.
It is sooo beautiful.
I would love to retire there or have a holiday home there.

If im a billionaire that is! haha
It is so expensive there. and there are more sheeps than humans there, not just Queenstown, just NZ in general.

Australia would be a safer bet if you want some life.

Living.... yeah thats a good place to live....
Working.... Dont think that is a good place to earn for a living though >.<
