Since I'm from Muar, I can take a private chartered car home, which they pick up from door-to-door. Hi I am from Muar too, can you pls let me know what is the private chartered car and how's the charges? Many thanks...!!!

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Dec 16 2010, 02:23 AM) Thanks bro for reply Mean its better not to provide passport details when replying via email to job openings? Will this give hiring company reason not to consider me for interview if passport details are not provided? Unfortunately yes. If u have a choice, u can put there to be provided and if they insist, u decide lor. Added on December 16, 2010, 9:29 pmQUOTE(Lester1987 @ Dec 16 2010, 12:53 PM) before i come down to SG, i go through the 1st page like most of us do. But from my personal experience, the 1st page ads are mostly agents. The most effective way in getting a room is go to that area you desire to stay and look for ads near the bus stops. If you have a relative in Singapore, it is much easier if they have a room or their friend have a room to rent it out. Then you can save a lot of trouble. I think ur not the first one say this b4, about ads at bus stops. but untill now I nvr see any ads, except for mcd and the 3 fat ladies loving their ride.. There are good and bad on having an agent to rent a room.
With agent, You tend to pay 1/2 of ur monthly rental to them, but they can guarantee you that the house owner can't raise the rental price.
Without agent, You tend to save the 1/2 of ur rental but u never know that the house owner can raise the room prices anytime. I had met such situation before where house owner put cheaper price to get a tenant then after 2 months staying, they want to raise the room prices.

No they cant guarantee that, i have met houseowners who will raise the rental rate arbitrarily with the excuse that they they didnt expect you to use alot of electricity or do alot of washing. Plus the houseowner will "use" the agent to convince you to let the house owner raise the rental.

But they still have a tenancy agreement as a formality. It isnt a legally binding tenancy agreement.

QUOTE(cheeyt @ Dec 17 2010, 11:10 AM) hi anybody working in Apple? is it better to submit resume online or pass by ppl to HR? thanks its best to get in through recruitment agency. i recommended 3 friend, non of them got a call. my colleague also the same. Submit online, i think the chances are lower. Unless it is a recommendation from a management level people, if not, i think its easiest to get in through recruitment firm.

Even if the tenancy agreements are legally binding, enforcing them is a whole different matter. The question to ask... even if you sign the tenancy agreement and either party contravenes it... then what? What do you do? How do you enforce it? Who helps you enforce the it? The police? A court? How long will enforcement take? In what form will that enforcement be in? How much does it cost to get a tenancy contract enforced? How do you prove your case in a tenancy dispute?
