QUOTE(r1v3r @ Mar 18 2011, 11:03 AM) Still have IRAS website to print out your annual contribution. If they see your cpf hit the limit, they will take your iras statement inorder to give you higher credit limit. I don't remember giving them my IRAS statement last time round, only the CPF statement. They just casually ask, "I give you $XXX credit limit, is that ok?". I just accept what ever credit limit they give me.This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Mar 18 2011, 04:12 PM |

Hi all, I'm gonna start working in SG starting end of the month... Looking forward to your future gatherings/get-togethers!
Couple of things to ask: 1. I'm currently looking for a place to stay... I've already contacted agents but was wondering if any of you guys know anyone who might have a room available? I'm looking for central/greenline area... Pls PM me if you have any contacts. 2. I tried to open a bank account with OCBC the other day and they required me to have a minimum opening amount SGD500 inside and to maintain a min SGD1000. Due to time shortage, I didn't check with another bank then. Is this the same for all banks in SG? Thanks, looking forward to be part of the community! |

QUOTE(gabLhowe @ Mar 19 2011, 01:29 AM) Thanks... Yes same.. Only difference is the minimum amount. At all times? OCBC says that if I dont have >SGD1000, its a 2 bucks charge per month. Same? I have no idea how they implement the minimum amount tho... Always had more than 500 in my account. Try asking the staff. This post has been edited by jonnie: Mar 19 2011, 01:42 AM |

QUOTE(r1v3r @ Mar 18 2011, 12:35 AM) With so many people who are drawing millions dollar salary and keep increasing their tax free income. It is time for IRAS to increase the limit to a few millions then decrease the tax rate. That's fair for all and IRAS may collect even more money. K, my 2 cents, I am not running for election. Alot of powerful and influential SME bosses will be up in arms with government officials and politicians to kill that idea. Why do you think singapore which is considered very close to attaining developed status still allow commercial transport vehicles to double up as worker transport due to the SME's pressuring the government not to legislate that the transport of employers cannot be done in a commercial vehicle designed to carry only goods. QUOTE(twentyfour24 @ Mar 19 2011, 11:49 AM) hi all, If you are not allowed to buy HDB, I doubt if you'll be allowed to own it though the back door. HDB will probably refuse to register your share in the joint ownership.my aunt is sporean and if she want to add my name into her current property (e.g. HDB ).izzit possible? FYI,im msian and not PR. Your aunt can make you the beneificiary in her will to inherit the flat but I think HDB will hold the flat in trust while they give you a period time to sell it to someone who is eligible to own it. |
