Depending on the response, I could change the tournament format from Single Elimination BO3 to Double Elimination BO3.

And yes, I will be seeding the players/teams based on the last tournament's results.

Do note that since the last time round, it was the 2vs2 Tournament first, on Saturday and the 1vs1 Tournament the next day, on Sunday. I've switched it around, since I received feedback that some of the teams for 2vs2 couldnt make it on Saturday as their partners had to work half day.

R&R remains unchanged. Unless any of the participants have any constructive input to suggest.

So yes please, register early, help make my job easier and I'll help you guys have a better tournament.

As for the location of the new CC, its in-between BU Centrepoint McDonalds & Wisma BU8 and opposite KBU. If you know how to get to BU Centrepoint, you cant miss it. Plus they're running a RM1/hour promotion now, so this will be a good time to scout out the place and get a feel of the environment there.

Hi there ladies and gents!

The current total of players for 1v1 is:

30 of 32
An email has been sent out to registrating parties. If you did not receive an email, do resend an application ASAP following the methods shown on page 1.

The current total of teams for 2v2 is:

8 of 16 (3 reservations)
An email has been sent to team leaders (registration emails) for confirmation. Please submit your details as soon as possible.
If 2v2 does not reach its capacity again (16 of 16 - last tournament it was 14 of 16) we may drop this segment in upcoming events.

Regards,

Brian
ESP Crossfire Team

As per Brian's last update, we have decided to drop the 2vs2 tournament due to lack of participants. With only six teams registered, we shall instead focus on the 1vs1 tournament instead.

Instead of dropping 2v2 completely... don't you guys wanna increase capacity for 1v1 instead?  :P  Coz me and my fren just discovered this thread today, and we're reaaallly interested.
*
Not gonna increase the slots as it wouldnt be fair to the players that registered early. As per stated in the first post, its on a first come first serve basis. Better luck next time =)

====================

A final confirmation of registrations should be done by today (15th Dec 2010) and shortlisted participants will be informed via email. cl_excuses 101 of emailing into the wrong address will not be entertained. If you cant even get an email address right, taking part in a SC2 tourney will be the least of your problems.

As for the schedule and fixtures, we've decided that we'll stick to the current tournament format (SE, BO3) and will seed players based on the last tourney's results. All players should come in the morning to finalize your registration and for the bracket draw.

The next tourney, I'll change things up and go for either DE or Round Robin and spread the tourney out over two days, since in all likelihood, we will no longer be running 2vs2 tourneys anymore.

I cannot stress how important your continued participation for our tournaments is. Even if you're not participating, you'll get to mingle with the SC2 community and learn some new tricks watching other players play live. As long as there are the numbers, we can present it to our sponsors, so that we can have more SC2 tourneys.
