it's because ron 97 is not being subsidised thus it will increase according to the world oil price

G increase petrol price when world crude oil price increase. How come they never decrease the price when crude oil price is down?
Another sign that election is around the corner, need more rakyat money for campaign.

We maybe producing crude oil but we don't refine enough Petrol. Malaysia is a net importer of petrol refined by other countries. We sell crude but we buy petrol. The crude money is used to subsidise the RON95.

^Is wrong mostly on your statements..... Petronas is selling MTBE(a product from naptha, a crude fraction) which used to boost RON in petrol. Smaller refineries like ESSO in PD it do have to import petrol from ESSO Singapore, but bigger refineries they will produce own self and sell to the local.
Also, if government don't control the price, our petrol can be priced more than we have now. And everday change on the price.
Crude is not we produce, but is dig from open sea from East Malaysia. Tapis, Bintulu, Labuan is some of the examples of crude Malaysia has....

i think malaysian G shd study this matter sooner or later. i see public transport is so poor in malaysia so everybody need to have a car to earn a living. In KL u can see most car are driven by only driver alone. Car pooling is fail here also.

yet malaysia produce cheapskate car like perdana, naza ria, exora that drink petrol to run on the road. i can say most our national car is drinking and wasting our resources that so called petrol that is so limited that will only last maybe around 10-20 years?

G perhaps shd increase roadtax to encourage ppl buy smaller car rather than big car with big cc like alphard cayanne perdana v6 inspira2.0? or G shd scrap away car that more than 15 years old?

^^Why government wants to do something to benefit people? I don't find a point here. By selling 10 liters of diesel to bus, it means petro station sell less 400 liters of petrol(assuming 1 bus can have 40 passangers).
Every needs petrol to move, so again what's your point?
