Why don't those who are unsure go check out the difference between LCD, Plasma, and LED with their own eyes? 9 out of 10 of my walk-in customers tell me LCD is better because they hear people telling them that. I have these TVs put side-by-side with default settings. Without telling which TV is which, I ask them to choose the one they think is LCD. Most of them will mistaken Plasma as LCD because they like the PQ of Plasma better. That say, at the end of the day it boils down to your own preference. Maybe you like the bright colour of LCD which to some is tiring to look at for long hours. Maybe you like the natural colour of Plasma. Maybe you like to show off to your guests how thin your LED TV hung on your wall is. You really have to do your own comparison as everyone's likings are different.
9 out of 10? Surely can't be that much because I thought worldwide sales figures is in favor of the LCD?IMO, 9 out of 10 who walk into a store doing not much study and analysis will pick the LCD.
On the other hand, those who really takes their time like carefully watching each and every TV available for long time....say....solid 10 minutes on 1 TV instead of just glancing it may pick the Plasma. And the TV programs are mainly movies (especially movies with dark scene) and not cartoon or games. Ya, I suppose I am talking about picky customer like myself.
BTW, I recently went into a store with lots of naturally sunlight coming in, the LCD looks much much better than Plasma. And this is coming from a person who is 100% Plasma follower.
Now LED is much much better than LCD.
