7. Camera UI reworked, touch to focus and Auto-Focus video option. Pinch to zoom focus
8. Larger zoom in Camera/ Gallary (more than mere 2x) and also HDR mode like Nokia N900

oh...i like this! rclxms.gif

is it possible for N8 to get touch to focus? I mean does N8 hardware support touch to focus?

herm... what i recall is u can patent in an idea, but not copyright them. I recall some Sony higher end DC with touch screen also using them...maybe they just copyrighted the specific way of implementing touch focus, if nokia can think of another method to make touch focus work then it should be ok

I desperately want touch focus for N8. Here's hoping!

Actually touch focus nothing great, my SE G900 also got touch focus but quality cacat.

For me the most important thing that the nxt upgrade should have is the prolonging the manual exposure longer so nite shooting will be equivalent to those hi-end Dogicam liao..Currently the nite shooting is not so great.

I'm just saying, with an already quality camera, touch focus would make N8 almost perfect. But not if touch focus means compromising the current quality of the camera though.
Guess we can't have it all.

the touch focus as bbxiong mention are software control... so it all depend on the nokia team want/dont want to include it within and this is same with others fuctions like the HDR as well as manual PASM controls...  nod.gif

Good to know that it is a matter of software. There is still hope smile.gif

It's still part of Beta Labs app. And it takes time to load. After loading, it will be pretty fast smile.gif
