man, reading 10 pages at one go is really tiring.

first of all, can we get all the servers mentioned in the replies updated in the main post? it'll be much easier for us server-searchers. maybe also add some general sentiment for each server, e.g. low pings but spikes, etc etc.

secondly, perhaps the best way to go about getting a ranked server locally is to go through Gamers.com.my, since they are supposedly the official EA distributor here. i don't see why EA would charge Gamers since they're selling their products. maybe GameZone can start a server on behalf of Gamers. it'd be a win-win situation: more servers for the people, and more purchases for Gamers. and of course, more cheers for GameZone.

well, on a personal note, i avoid TH servers altogether, and GameArena used to drop stats a lot, but seems to be ok now (haven't been keeping track actually).

EA Japan, EASG, OGN are nice. but wherever you go there'll always be lag spikes. and lame players.

if gamers is reluctant to release the server source, perhaps a generous party can give them a free lease on a server and let them run it themselves.

but if you think about it, i'm sure EA and DICE have some sort of key-based mechanisms to ensure all ranked servers are legit. but then again, we know how sloppy their work is.
