I think they have finally lost the plot. Zombies are undead, non thinking entity that was infected by virus. That one looks like it can think, and more akin to Japanese's Yuurei than Western's Zombie.

I am not a zombie series fan, but I am not really amused with the bastardation of the meaning.

And they are still undead that can't think, and mostly do their biddings for master. Romero's Zombie is still more close to that than this

It's not that. Just I feel that they are misusing the name. From what I see, it's just a normal Japanese anime of a guy/girl fighting normal jap monsters. It's like they take some generic Jap monster, paste the name zombie on it and voila! you get this. And it does seem reminisce of Princess Resurrection.

Wow. Actually the first ep is a good one. It parodies all the other supernatural/MAhou Shoujo/Zombie series out there and makes fun of it. The silent girl sipping tea (Saber) alone while waiting for the main character who lives alone (generic story in anime). Meets a mahou shojo (fluffy skirt, shimapan, hats) and if power gone, goes naked.

Ada banyak jenis zombie. The original zombie from Haiti is just a kuli batak type. Then it became the mindless, brain eating ghoul in Romero's Night of the Living Dead as shown below (yes, it's the full movie)


The template of Romero's Zombie became the bases of what you see today, and has been upgraded throughout the years. Infected by bites is a new feature IIRC. Ayumu meanwhile is more of the Shiki type of Japanese culture instead of the western type zombies. So it's not really suprising that the series taken some liberties in changing the definition of what a zombie is. Real Zombies are just people that is under influence of drugs.
