Hmm. I don't really think she's really a side character, because that'll prove Tomonori and whoever-his-name-was of Ayumu's guy friend are also side characters.

This series has a problem having focus on the girls (and boy do they REALLY focus on them when they do - especially fanservice shots), and if you really notice Ayumu actually has the most screen times he outnumbers all of them (especially in the Masou Shoujo costume cough cough cough)

... And also explains why them Japanese fanartists just LOVE Ayumu (in Masou Shoujo) outfit...
