Sounds like a good plan, eh?? Twincam... reminds me of AE86, dunno why.   Actually it is possible to shoot with both handed camera. That's where the AF comes in handy.
Heh, I hope I can get the 30D or D200 to shoot again, cause I know my little IXUS won't last me an hour inside there.   Hey, D70 is good enough lah. Just remember to bring a flash unit.

Hahah, just ask the girls (cars no need to ask, right? ) politely and kindly show them the pix if they wanna see. That's the tricky part! If you get bad pix, just take again before showing!

I kinda remember the lighting in PWTC isn't the best you could ask for, especially non-flash with high ISO... Try the build in flash, maybe?? Or maybe shoot with RAW for compensation later.

Hahah... I wasn't quite satisfy with the pix I got though. Lets blame the camera and lens and lighting inside.

The models sure friendly one, if you know their daily pay...

Very true, man... But they have to suffer the smiling, standing, posing, idling for that pay. Hahaha, hope they won't get any kind of phobia later.

If you didn't bring in a flash unit, you will be using high ISO with slow shutter. That's my case. I brought a f3.5 14-45mm () with non flash DSLR. Have to push the ISO to 400 & 800 in order to get a "ok" shot.   So, do bring in flash if possible, even built in flash will help.

And if the models gave them their email for pix, just send only, regardless of the pix quality (no need to send full size lah).   If they really wanna compare the quality, I bet ours won't be in the top 10 list.   A promise is a promise, just fulfill it. No one guarantee them quality pix, right?
Hahaha, yeah that's right. Very crowded place. Didn't get a clear shot of any car inside, sure got people at the front or at the back.   Anyway, I brought the wrong lens (f3.5), cause no choice. Pushed too much on ISO produces lotsa noise. No flash. Wasn't in good health also lah... Hahaha...

D70 has a built-in flash, right? Use it. If the flash is too hard, use some tissue to soften the flash.  It's better than shoot with high ISO (noise) and slow shutter. I tried RAW, didn't help much either. Push up too much on exposure will only bring out the noise.

For your question, I can say "yes". VR (or Canon's IS) does help to reduce shaky shots especially under low light condition. Of course, not much like 1/2 or 1 second or above. In the end, we are still human who need to breath.   But I can say it does help alot.

Yo Vyruz, 18-200mm is the most versatile lens for you, plus it has the VR feature to help shoot in low shutter condition. Should be good enough for major shooting.

About your pictures here, I got some comments for you...

#1 - Good
#2 - The WB is off, skin tone, and the cropping too tight I think
#3 - Nice, though the yellow cast abit strong
#4 - Nice angle, but you left too much space on top. If you can include the Hyundai ballon on top then maybe better?
#5 - CUTE!! I like this shot alot! ASIMO looks very lively! Especially the fingers part, can see the movement.
#6 - The cropping looks abit uncomfortable.

No problem, dude. For sure I'll get the ASIMO presentation schedule before going. 
I think if you shoot with high ISO, mostly will end up with noisy pix especially view on 100%. That's normal. It happened to me too. That's why I suggest to bring a flash unit, preferably the Omni Bounce Flash.

Answers to your pix questions...

#2 - The Mitsubishi section has too many warm and cold spotlight, which makes it even harder to get the best WB. So I think you better shoot RAW and adjust the WB later. Else, use the model's skin tone to determine your WB setting. You can adjust the WB on their white uniform too.

#4 - Actually the skin tone also off abit. Doesn't look like flesh colour, eh??

#6 - Try to move to other position to avoid the direct spotlight on the logo. With so many spotlights under such tight area, the metering mostly will fail you. Try to shoot a few more. If cannot get the best result, try to shoot it under. Later can use PS to adjust it. If you got the overexposed shot, nothing you can do later. 

I didn't stay long at the Honda section. Beside, I was freaking tired at that time, and ran out of memory card.   You should try to shoot there. Just remember the spotlight there quite bluish/greenish. 

Hope you don't mind I used your pix to test the adjustment, eh?   

The last set of random pix from KLIMS 2006. Total 60 pix. Hahaha... It's really a good opportunity to practise shooting and meet friends. Look forward to the next one in 3 years time.

Today is the last day. It's my 4th time visit the exhibition.   Didn't really expect to shoot much cause my priority is to get/buy something from the motorshow. Also meet up with Vyruz and exchange camera to shoot.   Thanks to him, I get to shoot with Nikon D70 (NEF format).

All the shots were taken using Nikon D70. It's always good to shoot together with your buddies, because it brings out inspiration for shooting!

Actually I think you need a wide angle lens, a macro lens more for nature scenery shots. Telephoto lens is for capturing the wild life over there.
