Sounds like a good plan, eh?? tongue.gif Twincam... reminds me of AE86, dunno why. tongue.gif  Actually it is possible to shoot with both handed camera. That's where the AF comes in handy. rclxms.gif
Heh, I hope I can get the 30D or D200 to shoot again, cause I know my little IXUS won't last me an hour inside there. tongue.gif  Hey, D70 is good enough lah. Just remember to bring a flash unit. wink.gif

"PS King"? sweat.gif doh.gif  Since when I got such nick?? I am getting more nick day by day now... rclxub.gif tongue.gif

Hahah, just ask the girls (cars no need to ask, right? tongue.gif) politely and kindly show them the pix if they wanna see. That's the tricky part! If you get bad pix, just take again before showing! laugh.gif

D70, no flash, dats the problem. sad.gif use higher ISO alwaz gimme more noise. Need to photoshop only can show leh, also a good excuse to get thier contact.. lol tongue.gif

"PS King" is derived from somewhere in VF dude. I rarely reply there, but I do read around...

I kinda remember the lighting in PWTC isn't the best you could ask for, especially non-flash with high ISO... Try the build in flash, maybe?? Or maybe shoot with RAW for compensation later. flex.gif
Hahaha, only photoshop then can show them?? That's a good tactic, eh? brows.gif
The "PS King" from VF?? Hahaha... I thought I'm more famous with the ever-changing avatar and signbar over there?? laugh.gif

Built in flash, not bad, but need to save up my battery as well. probably need to shoot in raw. and bring my laptop along too. Night time going bukit jalil for "THE ASIA CULTURAL LANTERN CARNIVAL 2006".

What the... doh.gif
Hahah... I wasn't quite satisfy with the pix I got though. smile.gif Lets blame the camera and lens and lighting inside. laugh.gif

The models sure friendly one, if you know their daily pay... tongue.gif
*
I know thier pay. If they work 10 consecutive day, probably more than my 2 months pay. sweat.gif

Me and my colleagues was talking about the lighting in there too, but some ppl like christan (in other thread) manage to get good shot. I feel pai seh to post my photos now. Some of the models ask me to send them thier pix, and complained some photog promised to send and didnt send in the end. Know I know y, because most pix turn out to be 'ugly' due to the poor lighting condition.

Very true, man... sweat.gif But they have to suffer the smiling, standing, posing, idling for that pay. Hahaha, hope they won't get any kind of phobia later. tongue.gif

If you didn't bring in a flash unit, you will be using high ISO with slow shutter. That's my case. I brought a f3.5 14-45mm (doh.gif) with non flash DSLR. Have to push the ISO to 400 & 800 in order to get a "ok" shot. sweat.gif  So, do bring in flash if possible, even built in flash will help. smile.gif

And if the models gave them their email for pix, just send only, regardless of the pix quality (no need to send full size lah). tongue.gif  If they really wanna compare the quality, I bet ours won't be in the top 10 list. sweat.gif  A promise is a promise, just fulfill it. No one guarantee them quality pix, right? tongue.gif
Hahaha, yeah that's right. Very crowded place. Didn't get a clear shot of any car inside, sure got people at the front or at the back. doh.gif  Anyway, I brought the wrong lens (f3.5), cause no choice. Pushed too much on ISO produces lotsa noise. No flash. Wasn't in good health also lah... Hahaha... biggrin.gif
*
D70 at ISO400, the noise is noticeable even by a non-photograpger when viewed at 100%, imo. When I tried A mode, I get 1/8 shutter.. darn slow and cause blurring.

What I wanted to ask in MSN just now (u went offline) is, with the same setting of kit lens and the VR18-200mm f3.5-f5.6 lens i.e. same shutter speed, same aperture, same iso, will the VR help much? meaning if at those speed whereby i get slight blur, will the VR make it clear shot? understand?

Yo man, sorry my office line abit cacat, always dc one. sweat.gif

D70 has a built-in flash, right? Use it. If the flash is too hard, use some tissue to soften the flash.  It's better than shoot with high ISO (noise) and slow shutter. I tried RAW, didn't help much either. Push up too much on exposure will only bring out the noise. shakehead.gif

For your question, I can say "yes". VR (or Canon's IS) does help to reduce shaky shots especially under low light condition. Of course, not much like 1/2 or 1 second or above. In the end, we are still human who need to breath. laugh.gif  But I can say it does help alot. smile.gif
*
Is alright dude.

Yeap the flash, too hard. Will do that this friday. Well, then I think its worth it to get 18-200mm vr f3.5-f5.6 right, and its suitable for moto sports also right? I mean its kind of multipurpose lens.

Here are some shots, forgotten the settings i use, win2k in office does not have EXIF built in info builtin.

Yo Vyruz, 18-200mm is the most versatile lens for you, plus it has the VR feature to help shoot in low shutter condition. Should be good enough for major shooting. wink.gif

About your pictures here, I got some comments for you... smile.gif

#1 - Good
#2 - The WB is off, skin tone, and the cropping too tight I think
#3 - Nice, though the yellow cast abit strong
#4 - Nice angle, but you left too much space on top. If you can include the Hyundai ballon on top then maybe better? laugh.gif
#5 - CUTE!! I like this shot alot! ASIMO looks very lively! Especially the fingers part, can see the movement. thumbup.gif
#6 - The cropping looks abit uncomfortable. sweat.gif

That's all for my comments. Feel free to shoot me after this. laugh.gif
*
#1 - Already resize, in fact when viewed at 100% was abit blurred
#2 - I use AWB. What mode is better in that area? as there are many spotlights there
#3 - Already resize, in fact when viewed at 100% was abit blurred
#4 - Will try again.
#5 - I kasi hantam my shutter only. Since there are many ppl blocking. darn
#6 - I didn't crop at all. But to me, the 'overexposedness' of the logo makes me even more uncomfortable. How to solve dat? I mean, most of my cars pix , those silver part alwaz get overexposed effect.

QUOTE(Reon @ May 30 2006, 03:20 AM)
Anyway, here's some of my pix taken at the Honda section. The power of dreams rulez! flex.gif Hahah, too bad I missed the ASIMO presentation. My friend was in a rush, so I had to follow him to cabut first. doh.gif

No problem, dude. For sure I'll get the ASIMO presentation schedule before going.  biggrin.gif
I think if you shoot with high ISO, mostly will end up with noisy pix especially view on 100%. That's normal. It happened to me too. That's why I suggest to bring a flash unit, preferably the Omni Bounce Flash. thumbup.gif

Answers to your pix questions...

#2 - The Mitsubishi section has too many warm and cold spotlight, which makes it even harder to get the best WB. So I think you better shoot RAW and adjust the WB later. Else, use the model's skin tone to determine your WB setting. You can adjust the WB on their white uniform too. wink.gif

#4 - Actually the skin tone also off abit. Doesn't look like flesh colour, eh?? tongue.gif

#6 - Try to move to other position to avoid the direct spotlight on the logo. With so many spotlights under such tight area, the metering mostly will fail you. Try to shoot a few more. If cannot get the best result, try to shoot it under. Later can use PS to adjust it. If you got the overexposed shot, nothing you can do later.  wink.gif

I didn't stay long at the Honda section. Beside, I was freaking tired at that time, and ran out of memory card. laugh.gif  You should try to shoot there. Just remember the spotlight there quite bluish/greenish.  smile.gif
*
Used ISO400 already. ISO800 sure gone case d. hehe. Omni Bounce Flash? Er.. mind describe more.. i tak tau.. noob here leh...

#1 - RAW, good idea, but I only have 1GB CF.

#4 - imo, this gal is so fair. lol

#6 - Good tips. get it slightly under

Also meet up with Vyruz and exchange camera to shoot. rclxms.gif  Thanks to him, I get to shoot with Nikon D70 (NEF format). rclxm9.gif

All the shots were taken using Nikon D70. It's always good to shoot together with your buddies, because it brings out inspiration for shooting! thumbup.gif
